"Take your time" - Brilliant - I'm in the middle of doing my Alu-Cab Canopy Camper and am certainly taking my time designing and building it right. Most folks don't... You should consider packing cubes to store your clothes - a game-changer. Definitely being able to access the fridge from inside and outside is gold A stealth bed is nice for a quick sleep in more urban areas. Good layout - Thanks for the tour

Your water could of all been in the cupboard where you had some other water bottles. Custom water tank filled from the outside and with a 12 volt puma drive filter , possibly 80 litres. Possible cost $800

Will definitely be something I’ll do when we finish our trip!

If someone was considering travelling / touring rather than renting a house , rent is upwards of 15k - 20k per annum or more , that is a serious offset to the cost of the rig , also right now with the Covid labour shortage in rural / farming areas there is the opportunity to supplement the trip . In other words , apart from the risk of being caught up in a lockdown area for a while , there has probably never been a better time to up stumps and hit the road , see the wide brown land and the jewelled sea from here to there and a bit past the back of beyond . Enjoy :-)

Exactly right since leaving on our travels we have seen multiple signs saying “workers wanted” it is extremely easy to get a job at the moment!

Hey guys, Enjoying your videos! We are building a troopy in NZ at present. I have a question about the rooftop conversion... How far does the base (that the flip-up bed rests on) stick out from the troopy wall? Do you notice that in the back of your head/neck as you sit on the bench? We have an old kea camper troopy in Africa and it's a bit of a pain in that. If you have a tape measure on you (ha, ha...), could you tell me what the bed gap is from LH side to RH side? Enjoy your travels!
@itsJackandMegan3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching. Yes that part can get annoying sometimes. We don’t have a measuring tape on us right now but I’ll keep it in mind and get back to you ASAP!

Question : How often, if at all, do you transit from the cab into the back and vice versa whilst inside the vehicle ? Or do you always go via the outside ?
@itsJackandMegan3 жыл бұрын
Always via out side mate. When the roof is popped it’s easy to get into the cab if needed!

I don’t think the sway problem is caused by the fridge. The 2 x 20 litre jerrycans on the back door are more likely to be the problem
@itsJackandMegan3 жыл бұрын
Have since stopped filling them all the way up and have noticed a difference 👍
@maxinedevoogd84003 жыл бұрын
Hey hey. Where are your electrics stored ? Thanks.
@itsJackandMegan3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate they are behind the drivers seat. The battery is stored under the pantry area and accessible from behind drivers seat and switch board is behind drivers head. If you go check out our rig run down video it’s in that one 👍 Will be doing a full video on the 12v setup soon!
@maxinedevoogd84003 жыл бұрын
@@itsJackandMegan thank you. Much appreciated. Do you find you have any weight distribution issues seeing that your electrics and the fridge is on that side of the Troopie ?
@itsJackandMegan3 жыл бұрын
@@maxinedevoogd8400 honestly no not really only thing I have noticed is the sway with the weight at the back even that’s not to bad. If I was to do it all over I would definitely be looking into proper weight distribution regardless.
