I’m torn. I like this style of decluttering (saw someone else in the comments call it giving each product an exit interview). However, I do love your old style of seeing you declutter in action with all your products. To me it just makes it more meaningful to see what you are decluttering in context with what you are keeping.

I love this so much. I've kind of been suffering from makeup "burnout" lately. All of the new launches are exhausting in my opinion. I'm going to just be sticking to the few products that I like and that's that. I don't even watch many makeup videos anymore, but you're one of the few that I do because I feel like you are very down to earth about what you use and buy and it's really been helping me with my choices and you even inspired me to be more mindful about what I'm purchasing. It's the natural oils melting and solidifying. If you own RMS products, they do the same thing in my experience. It looks gross but they still work. Coconut oil based products do this because they teeter the line between solid and liquid at room temperature.

I don't personally like coconut oil based products because they break me out, but I have always thought it to be an odd choice for these solid cream formulas... because the melting point is literally room temperature lol. I have an RMS palette I don't use much because it's either melted in the summer to the point where I don't want to travel with it, or hard as a rock in the winter.

I think you are correct. I made some body butter with coconut oil. After a bit, it became grainy. I make this body butter frequently, but this time I melted the oil instead of just softening it before mixing with other ingredients. I think the grains are teeny solid coconut oil particles.

The bumps on stick products are perfectly fine! My favorite stick foundation always has those; it's just how the formula is. Do what makes you most comfortable, but those bumps don't mean it's expired. Love you! Loved the video!

I like this new format of Decluttering. Decluttering is always a process, in varying degrees. It doesn't always have to: Gather all (ex. foundations); then talk about each and every one, which stays/maybe/toss. You've already gone through them, and I presume, many times.

For setting spray, there's also just a good quality rose water spray. It does set your makeup, but more than that adds so much amazing nutrients. I use it even without makeup to keep my face hydrated throughout the day

I am wearing that palette today! I mostly use the mattes. The bright tones help make my deepset eyes pop from behind my glasses. If I had beautiful eyes like yours, I would do them like you. I hope your sisters and friends enjoy the fruits of your declutter.

For tinted brow gels, I use them to run through my brow as a last step of my makeup. Just in case they get powders, foundation, eyeshadow, or concealer in them. It helps just darken them up, and cover anything that got messed up while I was doing the rest of my makeup.

Demi Lovato is one of my absolute favorite people. I love what she stands for and what shes overcome. I am a recovering addict like her (i will have 5 years clean from heroin and meth and cocaine this month 🙌🏻) and i relate to her so much. I think it’s really important to be honest with yourself and realize the products you don’t use, even if other people do. By realizing things you don’t use and truly stop buying those things, you’re reducing your waste, which is always a great thing

Today I got the elf bite size quad in cream and sugar, I think you’d LOVE it we have the same taste in eyeshadow. It’s literally all the shades I’ll need, so tiny and practical. I remember a while back you said you didn’t wanna try it. for $3 but it’s worth it! The shimmers are amazing!

Honest cream blushes are really good. I also like their highlighter. It's subtle, but gives a gorgeous glow. And their mascara!

I do like this format better than the ones where you look at every product and decide whether to keep or not. I'd rather know why you're getting rid of something or not buying any more of a category than what you are keeping. I also agree about the setting sprays. I tried one last year after I finished my makeup (like I see everyone doing on YT) and my mascara immediately smeared. Even tried it before I did my eyes, didn't really notice any difference in wear time. I work 12 hour shifts and just rely on finding makeup that has good staying power.

I dont use foundation sticks either but i keep one in my purse for touch ups. I use the brow gel tint to cover grey brows. I wipe most of the product off in the tube and lightly hit the few greys. It covers them really well.

It's good to see a youtuber who's not going to get more of the products they don't use (and are not gonna use on other people). I enjoy declutters but after a few years of watching beauty youtube the endless cycle has become a bit of a bummer so it's nice to see someone making practical choices like that.

I agree with you on the tinted brow gels! I'm super fair skinned with naturally blonde, almost Platinum blond hair. And every time I've ever tried a brow feel it's a total mess! I decided to stick to pencils not too long ago.

I have actually gone back to the way I did my makeup before I was "influenced" by KZbin videos. That also means not more setting spray. I found that I didn't like the way my makeup was looking and realized it was the setting spray I was using. I still use the Milani "fix plus" dupe to apply eyeshadows. I am really excited by the videos you are making in 2020!

@@mrsglobus9737 YES! I will use the Maybelline City Bronzer color 100, which is quite cool toned on my face.... so it works like a contour on me. I also don't apply highlight that often because I use the Milani Luminoso blush which has a great shine!

Jessica, you should really give this natasha denona palette a try. I am a neutrals lover and when I got this palette I was a little worried about the dark colors as well. But I have found that even those bright and darker colors look beautiful and natural on the eye once blended. Even my husband noticed how good my eye makeup looks everytime I wear this. And I am always surprised on just how natural it looks. I have used all but 2 shades so far, which is very rare for me. Usually I tend to only get use out of half the shades in a bigger palette.

I use the Anastasia Tinted Brow gel, I have sparse thin brow hairs and the find the tinted adds some volume and thickness to my brows. Take the wand out brush on the side of the tube to remove some product from brush and then starting in the middle gently comb through brows lightly. Otherwise, my brows look flat.
