@@edward3922 Doug deff isn't irrelevant, he does a majority of the work on Gavin's cars so you are either paying for a live in mechanic or paying one somewhere else to do the work you can't. The parts don't magically install themselves so installation cost should be added.

Maybe with a complete rebuild. Engines are blowing up left and right. Other than image, it simply can't be justified over a regular 5.0 GT. And, tbh, a regular GT can make more power and w/ the 10spd...it will be much faster. Nothing about this car screams 'best car'...especially with the engines blowing up. Every has their own opinion tho.

It needs oil to lubricate but not cool. It also doesnt use liquid to cool it uses air. There are air cooled turbos for bikes.

That’s like my full bolt on e30 fusion it was loosing power over time with the stock intercooler on there so I swapped a big one on and my intake air temps never went over 70 and 85-90 in the summer which used to be 120+😅

Butt dyno. You drive enough cars you get a good feeling for it. Also if you work on enough builds, you get a good sense for how much power an engine will makes with x amount of boost. His 1100 figure isn’t going to be exact but it’s ballpark.

Simple/moderate calculations. And he doesn’t do all of it. Doug does a lot of it too, there are math equations to find out how one thing will change the power and weight of the vehicle. There are also steps taken and plans made before anything is done so you n ow your going to get what you want done. You do the math before you start and order your parts. He knows his stuff from experience and knows what things feel like and what changes what. And the difference certain parts can make.

Dude Shark Bruh. It’s literally math. How else do you know what parts to buy to make a specific change. My uncle does this crap as does my neighbor. I know how it works. You have to do your homework before you go online and start ordering shit you don’t need. They have done some with me and showed me how to do it. I don’t know every step to it. But I do know that you have to do the homework first before the build. This way you don’t have a part that is and upgrade for one car but is a downgrade for your car. I’m not stupid and I have experience. So shut the hell up if don’t know what the hell you are doing And you may not be regulating airflow. And no it’s not on the dot but it is pretty damn close. Airflow can make an average of a five horsepower difference. And it’s not to many factors. You just keep track of what you have done and what else you can do.

I am pretty happy with my Hellion sleeper kit for $7200 with upgraded ball bearing turbos. My IET temps are the same 1-5 over outside temp. Yes i have oil lines but it cost me $1500 less then this kit.

That isnt to bad considering the power it's making. I've just got some lowering springs and exhaust so far but after some more suspension mods it will be a few thousand dollars. Add in the boost and it's around 15k and that's with nothing built for trans or engine
