That sound you here when you're in launch control. The weird miss fire sound. It's actually your e diff and engine playing around with each other to match your launch control parameters such as slip target. That's why it resets every time your toggle traction control on/off.

On the 1LE’s you’ve got to hold down the traction control button for 5 seconds to completely turn off stabilitrak and TC. If you double tap into competition mode, is still has stabilitrak on. And the launch control can only be activated in sport or track mode, while in competition mode which is activated by double tapping the TC button.

Launch control works off of the clutch switch located on the clutch pedal or the clutch pedal push rod when you try to slip the clutch it is activating and deactivating as your letting it out just completely let off the clutch to launch instead of slipping it

You need everything full off for burnout and then the mode select of sport 2 or 3 and it’ll be good lunch mode and actually build boost off lunch

Slip the clutch faster. You're freaking out the ignition cut. It uses the clutch sensor to determine if you're ready to launch. And you can't activate launch control while moving. I'm sure it doesn't have rolling antilag.

My dad had a '10 2SS with an auto. Solar Orange with the matching interior. For my "Bachelor Party" he let me drive it like I stole it. I was initially bummed that it was an auto, but when we had it on the lift we realized that it was on coilovers, running 3" exhaust to borlas, and on the day we detailed it, we discovered a lot of decal residue on the rear window. Turned out it was a car built by Texas Speed, then disguised as a "mostly stock" car for a trade-in on a truck. That thing would flat-out INCINERATE the tires from a stop, and matting it at 50 would spin em on the average highway. When I drove it for my celebration, I was dedicated to destroying all the life left in those tires and get us in a little trouble. Let's just say, it did not disappoint. We pulled back in the road, having left with nearly new tires needing a new set of 305s and a garden hose cool-down on the radiator.

For the camaros you have to hold the traction button for 10 second it will take everything off for a burnout,for competitive mode you have to double click fast.

The camaro launch system doesn’t like clutch slip you have to full throttle to your set rpm param. And just snap your foot off the clutch it doesn’t like slipping you’ll eat the clutch it just likes being straight dropped on its head idk why but it does.

Make sure your foot isn’t touching the clutch AT ALL because it sounds like you’re activating the no lift shift. Other owners have had that same issue and that turned out to be the case

Dump the clutch when using launch control, the slip percentage will take care of the rest to ensure you don’t stall out or burn your clutch out. You mentioned you’re slowly letting off the clutch, and that’s confusing the computer.

I have a Chevy Corvette Z06 w/ Launch Control and I have the same issue…. As others have said; the sound is the engine pulling the power as it computes the tire slippage, engine power, tranny power, etc. etc…. It’s a weird system. I personally am not a fan as well. I’ve used it playing around like you were doing but overall when I’m at the track I don’t use launch control at all.

Its not a miss fire, its something on the computer not allowing the launch control to turn off once you left, atleast listening to it thats what it seems like, because when you had demonstrated what it does, you gave it throttle, and it gave you the launch control rpm limit with your foot on the floor, to me this shows that its not disengaging the launch control rpm limit once you left like its supposed to, next time it does that to you watch your rpm to see if im correct, i may not be but just in case its something to research and think about

The reason the Car isn’t accel when your using launch is cause it for some reason doesn’t realize it’s launched. So it’s basically still cutting ignition or whatever they use for the launch rpm control. So it’s still cutting power even after letting off the clutch. Something electronic is not right with that car.

I know this is in a Camaro but i have the same issue in my dodge charger hellcat redeye. I don’t use the cars built in launch control but the same issues occur. When id foot break, the car would gargle just like your Camaro did with launch control. It has to do with the car seeing too much of something, wether it be boost or power/torque. After i turned my car and set all my expected power/torque and boost it seemed to disappear. Love the videos, keep up the awesome content:)
