Barry... your name is Barry. Bass boy is Tim Foust, he has a 5 octave range & much shorter hair in 2021. First singer with the awesome hat & accent is Austin Brown and his tenor is out of this world (doesn't always have accent). Dungarees dude is Rob Lundquist and he's a tenor and is smooth as Butter with quite a bit of soul. Beatboxer is Adam Rupp who's just THE best with a nice tenor voice as well. He is one of the founders, his brother Chris was in Ring of Fire but left to do his own thing. Adam Chance (back behind Rob) is a baritone and bass and has the most beautiful voice. He's the one doing the mouth harp (not didgeridoo). They all get a chance! to shine as they share the solos. Enjoy this new rabbit hole.

Not only is he the best beatboxer out there, his bass vocal chops are as good as Tim's, and his vocal range is the widest in the whole group. If he wasn't doing Beatboxing he could easily lay down foundational bass just like Tim, and sometimes you do get to hear it. It's hard to tell it's not Tim though . . .

Tim Foust (the deep bass singer) has a video with the adorable, talented red head Austin Brown on AB's channel where they sing "My Maria". Tim actually sings the high notes for the line, "my Mariiiiaaa". He has amazing range.

@@janhankins911 I don't think Geoff has actually got as good a range. Apparently subharmonics, which Geoff does better than even Tim, are actually performed an octave higher than they sound like they are at. Not sure how it works but that's basically how it was explained in another video I watched. So yes he hits crazy lows aurally, but vocally it's not as low as Tim can go with a growl.

Chance (Adam Chance), dark vest, sings baritone, covers bass when Tim is on a solo and did the Jew's Harp sound. Tim Foust, obviously bass with surprises. Adam Rupp, wife beater shirt and dark suspenders, "percussion", "harmonica", "record crackle" and sometimes tenor. Austin Brown, light shirt and medium red/brown vest, tenor with a darker tone and initial lead on this song. Rob Lundquist, overalls and full beard, tenor with a brighter tone.

@martinhafner22012 жыл бұрын
@@sallyintucson Yeah, I think the British call it a vest. The U.S. underwear companies call it an A-Shirt, probably because it is kind of A shaped with the missing sleeves. Hollywood movies commonly presented abusive husbands as overweight and wearing a simple white tank top, so it picked up the ugly name and was sort of symbolic, like the bad cowboy in the black hat. There's a lot of terminology from the 1940's-1970s that is a bit crude. For example, look up the mnemonic for the electronics "resistor code". It has 2 versions : the rude and the rude+racist.

Home Free is the real deal. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013. They are all tremendous singers. One change in the last 5 years. Chris Rupp (not in this video) was the tenor/baritone and founder with his brother Adam Rupp (beatboxer). He is in earlier videos with a cowboy hat or baseball cap. He left in 2016 to go solo. He was replaced by Adam Chance in the back row. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer. He’s amazing. Yes, he was doing the harmonica without a harmonica. Chance was doing the mouth harp sound (didgeridoo). Front row: Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses) tenor. Austin Brown (reddish hair) high tenor. Tim Foust (long dark hair) bass. Tim has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and sing up in the tenor range…not kidding. 3 of the boys are from the south. The other two are from Minnesota. They sing country but sing all genres. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own stuff. Helplessly Hoping, Yours, I Can’t Outrun You, What We Ain’t Got, to hear more great harmonies. Good reaction Barry!

Oh Barry. You are a hoot and a half. This was filmed in Fairhope, Alabama, USA where my mama was born. That archway of oak trees is called Oak Alley. Some of the branches lean all the way over and are so heavy they brace on the ground. Each tree is a tiny ecosystem with it's own ferns, lychins, bugs, critters. That is a farely common thing in the USA South. Pensacola, Florida (my birth place) and Mobile, Alabama both have amazing Oak Alley's as well as most old plantation properties. Barry is the first person ever on youtube, or any where else that has ever comment, or even replied to anything I have to say. He is truly kind hearted, sweet and caring to all his viewers. He gives so much passion to everything he does on this channel. Me and my family love to watch him. My daughter has now started copying his hair flip when he says, "it's me, barry." He has such a huge passion not only for music. But also the people that tune into him. If yall have not talked to him yet, yall must say hi to barry. He will tell u hello. Because of barry. We smile every day. I have the ability to sing again. And we r so happy. Yall have no clue how cool barry really is. I know I sound like a fan girl. But he truly is an amazing human being. Thank u Barry o'Malley for everything u do. We love u. And never stop. Please. Barry beings for life. Big hugs...

This group is not from Alabama, but the video was filmed in my beloved state, "way down South" as we say here. Alabama on it's southern tip is the gulf of Mexico and miles of beaches. Travel more north and you have vast fields of land with crops of cotton and much more growing. When you get to my area, the land is becoming quite hilly with lots of forests, rivers, creeks, and streams. A bit north and north east and you will find mountainous with boulders, and apple orchards. Alabama is just below Tennessee where Avi lives. By the time you get to his area, the forests are dense, deep and the mountains are much higher. Avi lives deep in the forests in a quiet place, far from people. Hope to hear much more of Home Free from you! Always love your work.
