YAY another Autism vlog!! I love your Angelman and Autism vlogs, I'm a PARA aide with Autism and ADHD myself! Ive had the experience of working with many types of kiddos,, even Angelmans like Griff and Autism/Hyperlexia kiddos like Sawyer! I always adore seeing how happy you make their life, they're so lucky to have you both as parents! Griffin's smile is just too infectious, makes me fill with joy. I send hugs and love from California 💕

I have a 6 year old son, he is extreme picky eater, you are a very good mother, it takes lot of patience to raise children with little difference. You are very patient with your boys. Hugs and love for them and for you too.

How Sawyer is changing, and it's only the beginning. Once he will be able to read books, he'll can learn about everything he is interested in. If he can already read the time, a watch could help him to be more aware of the time passing, more in the reality on and less in his own bubble (what is often the case with HP kids as they have so many ideas and questions in mind). Even if it's with words and not complete sentences, he can express his feelings and that's the most important., and don't complain about him not asking questions, because once he'll do it , he won't stop anymore, and I guess you won't be able to answer them all . Sawyer is not an ordinary kid, but an extraordinary kid. And he's lucky to have committed parents.

I always love hearing Sawyer talk! He’s adorable and gifted! It’s wonderful seeing how proud you are of his great progress, and how happy you are getting to know who he is as a person! I feel the same 👏Yay, Sawyer! So proud of you! ❤️ to all from Upstate, not far from where you lived. It’s getting colder quickly up here! 😊

You really have developed such a workable routine for Sawyer to play to his strengths and keep him progressing in all the areas where he is gifted: it’s very impressive. One question that I have is whether Sawyer “plays” with his siblings (like toys, or tag, or games, or whatever) or whether that bubble you mentioned has him not really interact closely with the other kids?

Thank you so much for showing how your days are. I've raised three kids with ADD and ADHD. Now I'm a grandmother to two boys and the oldest one just turned seven, he has ADHD pretty severe. In Sweden you get all healthcare for "free", but you have to wait for it sometime in years.. I hope you read this because he's off to get medication hopefully within a year. At 1:55 you mentioned Sawyers medicine and I really would like to know what type it was, I couldn't hear. You're a super mom! I hope you get to rest once in a while 💕

Hi Emily (& family), I was just wondering, have you ever heard of beddy beds bedding? I only heard about them through another KZbin channel gosh.. going back about 4-5 years ago now, & thought, what an amazing idea! They’re based in the US, & upon further research they’re fantastic for children with autism & are advocated by the autism society for not only its ease of use, but helping autistic children feel secure with a gentle pressure from the bedding, making them feel snug & secure (& if Sawyer wasn’t to like it, it can be completely unzipped). He may also enjoy making his bed every morning with zipping it up 🥰 It just came into my head when I saw him getting in & out of bed & I thought.. I wonder if Sawyer would like that! Perhaps it’s worth having a nosy? Sawyer is such a smart, intelligent & lovely little boy. Every time I see him in videos I think my goodness.. he’s come on leaps & bounds since you’ve moved to Colorado. Perhaps he’ll become a mathematician or scientist when he’s older! He really has such a knack for numbers. I don’t think people grasp just how amazing it is that a 6 year old can recount multiplication’s & numbers like that off of the top of his head, quite a special & talented little dude! Thank you for showing us a day in Sawyers life! xx

I have autism myself and script a lot as well. My parents say that it used to be a problem…it’s still a problem right now but it’s getting better because before…such as when we were potty training at 12: we had to wait a looong time for it to happen: half the time I would just say that I need to go potty and when my parents would place me on the toilet we would wait like 5,10, sometimes even 15 minutes and I wouldn’t do anything because I scripted that phrase but at that moment it meant nothing.

I don’t think 10mg is half a dosage… my husband and I sometimes take 2mg sometimes 5mg on a hard day… the thing is we read a lot of our bodies not detoxing it well and it may cause a build up in our system and groggy-ness throughout the day… at least look it up because it worries me to hear so many parents loading their kids up on melatonin. Maybe they just need to get their energy out in the evening with some walks or running around the back yard.. I don’t know.. it’s not a dig at you or anyone, just thoughts
@jociir2650
@jociir2650 Жыл бұрын
My 6 year old takes 2.5. I agree with you. Some people are lacking in melatonin which we have naturally In our bodies. Maybe he's lacking alot and needs the extra amount or I can be wrong. I usually do my kids 2 weeks with melatonin and 1 week off so they don't get too use to the dosage where I have to up it .

Exploitation is a real thing. Children can not consent to having their lives put on the internet for millions to see. To make an income off of your children is absolutely disgusting. Anytime she uploads a video of her child in the hospital she gets way more views. That says a lot. There are ways to do this without showing your children.
