To not even take the wheels off in the first place, or laugh at the fact that the owner of the car was visibly upset about his car being dragged by its rotors. He has ZERO say. Once the Parking authority inputs the violation into the computer, that it, it cannot be changed. This is the reason why once parking meter attendants start your ticket, they cannot stop giving you a ticket. It is the same thing. Once the parking authority guy input the tow order for a car without wheels, it was being towed like that. If not, BOTH people risk losing their jobs. That's just how it works bro. The tow guy is contracted out bu the city, so they have no say over how the cars get towed. Its all up to the parking authority guy and how he writes up the tow order. We have very little info on what happened before all this and if Sonny and the guys were given warning before, we just dont know the whole situation. +Roxas 023.. sadly, a lawsuit is pointless here. The damage done(which seems to be pretty minor to the body.side skirt) is maybe a few hundred tops. Do you know how much a lawyer costs? Yeah, not happening. And anyway, good luck suing the Parking Authority anyway. Fighting the city is a losing battle in a case like this. I feel bad for them, but I also feel bad for the tow truck dude and the backlash he is getting. The parking authority dude should be getting the wrath of the fanboys here.

Mike Harkins You do realize there’s such a thing as small claims court? You don’t need a lawyer for that and can be awarded up to $5,000

+Jesus is Lord.. Yeah and in small claims court he has no chance. He left his car parked on the street without wheels. He is not winning a case vs the City with no legal representation in small claims court.. He would need a lawyer to understand his rights in the situation and see if any of his rights were violated and go through all the footage taken and then interview people/witnesses. It would take thorough investigation by a lawyer and its just not worth it for a cracked side-skirt and bent exhaust. Regardless, Sonny was in the wrong.. He needs to just take the L.. While the city may have been a little quick to tow the car, the were well within their legal rights to tow it. And like I said before, once that tow order is in, it cannot be changed, which is why they had to tow it without wheels. Its the same when you are being written a parking ticket. Once they input the ticket into the system, that is it. I feel for Sonny here, but he has no case.

It is illegal to leave a vehicle parked for more than 72 consecutive hours on a public street without it being driven at least 1/10th of a mile. When a vehicle is reported or observed to be abandoned or stored, a courtesy tow warning notice is typically placed on it, so that the vehicle owner has the opportunity to correct the violation. So, yes I think he does have a chance in small claims court.
