Dick was bound to fight crime, he was going to bring justice to Gotham with or without Bruce. I give Bruce credit, his mind is his greatest weapon. However, Bruce fired Dick from the position of Robin

Also Nightwing's popularity is not related to Batman's. In fact he became way more popular after he became Nightwing. In Wizard Magazine he's even #1 favorite hero.

I think if anyone one actually had to be Batman, (other than Bruce Wayne) it'd be Dick. He has the skills and the smarts and he knows how Batman would handle things and that's what got him this far. Dick is my favorite character because he's cute, he's funny, he deserves the title of Batman even though he doesn't want it for a reasonable opinion, and as I already said, he's got the skills and smarts. If anybody could be The Dark Knight, it'd be Richard. Terry wasn't exactly "Batman" material, but he got the job done with Bruce's help.

I am really impressed by the exhaustive narrative in this video. It truly hit some major developments in Dick Grayson's life. I look forward to hearing more narratives. Beast Boy is next for me. Can you please clear up differences between Young Justice (cartoon) and Teen Titans (cartoon)? The season two of YJ is mostly problematical for me... And I'm confused with the time of action; You said shows based on comics were linked, but there was no gap in Young Justice's activity (I think), so how was Dick Grayson a part of Teen Titans? And how old was he if he was 13 in the first season of Young Justice? Can you please explain some things about these two shows? You know A LOT about comics, so you could maybe do it in a logical way. I'm extremaly confused and I don't know what to think about the shows... So many questions in my head. Love your videos, by the way. You're amazing.

Not all shows based off the comics are linked, there is something called the DC Animated Universe, which has shows like Justice League and Static Shock in it. Teen Titans and Young Justice were off doing their own thing and I have never said they are linked.

The first Nightwing was Superman in a one off issue. He was powerless and trapped in the bottled city of Kandor, so he based his costumed identity off Batman, and named himself after a Kryptonian bird of prey. Jimmy Olson was his sidekick, and took the name Flamebird.

The New 52 removed Nightwing's history and depth.

***** No it isn't. For one he didn't grow up with Bruce in this new 52 continuity. He is no longer considered a great leader-- a status that took years for him to accomplish. His two best friends (Wally West and Donna Troy) are erased, among other relationships. Plus, removing the Titans from his history is a HUGE part to remove and a real middle finger to the character and his fans.

Actually, it was Azrael that replaced Batman in Knightfall when his back got broken. Then after Bruce fix the Azrael fiasco, he asked Dick to stand in for him as Batman because Bruce wanted to take care of real life stuff in the company, but he's already recovered from that back injury.

Sorry, it wasn't. Dick brought the thought of Robin Hood himself. Batman created Robin. Batman just happened to have a young mans cosume with an R on it? It looked like the bird, not the folktale hero.

Well actually in some form of Robin's origin his mother made him a costume for their first act together which had an R sewn onto it which stood for Richard right before they fell to their death. So in a way Mrs. Grayson created the idea for Robin.

actually the biggest reason why robin was made was because the writers hated having most of batman's dialogue just him thinking in thought bubbles so they gave him a partner and what better for a kids superhero magazine than a kid clad in bright colors inspired by the classic tale of robinhood
