Howard's space stories and Penny's homework were both good moral dilemmas for the show to explore. I also really felt for Howard when he came back and everyone ignored him. It really sucks when you've been excited to share something and no one cares.

*Maybe Im looking too deep,* but I think it's beautiful that when Penny had Sheldon pinned and helpless, she chose to kiss him instead of hurt him. 5 years of insults aren't what mattered at that moment. It was 5 years of not being able to touch someone she loved that she took advantage of. One of my ATF TV moments.

While I agree with Howard's friends that hearing about space over and over gets tedious real fast, I also understand Howard's side on this. He's always the butt end of every job joke in the group, he's not a PHD like everyone else, he's always a step behind everyone. Now he did something that no one else has done, and something he's very proud of (and tbh rightfully so), and no one wants to hear about it. As someone who feels like she's done nothing of worth in her life, and who tends to get excited about things that got me recognition, I feel for Howard in this scenario.

Can I just point out that despite Howard’s mom having a man over she WAS willing to drop it to see her son? I understand the message of it’s creepy for Howard and of course he wouldn’t want to stick around. But Debbie, although not the most excited, put on the most effort so when howard walks in the apartment greeted with “get out!!” (I also would like to exclude Bernadette who was very excited to see her husband but got sick). And yes, you can point out that Raj did invite to let him tag along with him and Stuart. But the “that’s our thing” bit, I get that. Long story short, Debbie won this one. If you know you have a good mom tell them you love them tonight.

I dunno, I always side more with Howard here. He went to space. Something that everyone, especially these nerds dreamed of. It's an achievement of a lifetime. I think it earns at least a full year worth of bragging rights. Really the others should have been bringing it up and praising him. Sure he got a little bit cringy tedious being able to make every little thing about it, but I feel if they would have been more forthcoming on it, he wouldn't have felt the need to do so to try to get them to react.
