@@matthewmazzatto8003 When it's fine to be more adventurous for a franchise, the writing for both films didn't really work out for the kind of element Ice Age had Continental Drift didn't work out that much because the film didn't have much of the overall focus of the main event other than Louis and the main three characters; Peaches should've been a little more worried like how Manny was for Ellie in Dawn of the Dinosaurs Collision Course obviously didn't have work because the entire plot was dumb since it happened all because of Scrat, and the writing for the characters felt off. I love ice age. Can't wait for movie 3!!! This movie is so amazing, especially two things I like the most: First: Manny is such an incredible character: humans killed his wife and his child and he still brings a human child back to the father, just fantastic! And second: when the father gives the necklace of his wife to Manny. He gives the only thing that reminds him of his wife to the one who has brought him the most important. I don't know, but even as a kid I always found these two facts magical and just wonderful! But one thing makes me really sad, everytime I'm thinking about it (little SPOILER for the next movies): Manny won't wear the necklace in the other movies :( If he would, that would make my second favourite scene much more heartwarming!!

Actually, Frank and Carl, those two rhino-like brontotheres who hate Sid, are confirmed to be brothers. All the merchandise confirms this. Also, Manny's tragic backstory involving the death of his wife and son due to some humans killing for pleasure (hopefully not of the little baby's tribe) is a real tearjerker. But now he understands, thanks to the infant, that not all humans are bad. And fun fact, Ice Age was ALMOST going to be directed by The Land Before Time's original director Don Bluth. This is such a classic. The original will always be one of the best Blue Sky ever did. So much heart in this film and very funny.
