The Sri Chamundeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple located on the top of Chamundi Hills, about 13 km from Mysuru in the state of Karnataka, India. It is dedicated to Chamundeshwari, a fierce form of the Hindu goddess Shakti. The temple is considered to be one of the 18 Shakti Peethas, or sacred sites associated with the goddess Sati. The temple is built in Dravidian style and has a seven-tiered gopura or tower at the entrance. The main deity is a nine-foot-tall idol of Chamundeshwari, which is said to have been installed by the Hoysala king, Vishnuvardhana. The temple is a popular pilgrimage destination and is also known for its scenic location. The timings are given in the video.

Good video. Why didn't you visit the Mahabaleshwara temple which is just beside the main Chamundeswari temple? Infact it is this temple which is older and the legend goes that the Goddess came here after God Shiva. There is also a Narayanaswami temple behind the Shiva temple.....but this temple is much newer. The timings and entry fee mentioned in the description are wrong. There is no seperate fee for children. As for that 30Rs darshan ticket.....that is sold only after 3pm.....basically after the crowd has reduced and noone is interested in buying a 100Rs ticket. Devotees generally opt for the free darshan and the waiting time varies depending on the day and time. As for the bus.....it is only the AC bus and nothing else. The other lower priced bus makes for a rare darshan😁

I didnt visit because I actually forgot it. After offering prayers to Shakthi, I felt contended and I actually forgot it. Timings i will correct

@@adhi360vlogs This happens to all of us many a times.....it's all about offering sincere prayers and experiencing the divine vibes. I forgot to mention in my earlier comment.....I have never seen buffaloes there though I have visited the temple several times. I have only seen many cows and oxen in the temple premises and it does become irritating sometimes with the cow dung all over the place
