Tetra Films Ltd was established in 1992 by Thames Television's head of children's programming following the loss of their Channel 3 franchise licence. It went on to produce several successful series for the ITV network and other broadcasters.

Mike and Angelo was kept going by Tetra Films till the year 2000 , Lee Pressmen who wrote the episodes to Mike and Angelo can only take one of his shows from Thames TV to Tetra and if you look at the opening titles to Middle English at 0:04 you can see Roger McGough talking to the students in a classroom from Acland Burghley School. That was from a episode called Mistaken Identity from 1990 where Roger McGough is Mistaken for Michael Rosen
