The skin removal surgery should have been done by itself. It is already extremely dangerous and should probably have been done in at least two - three procedures to begin with-from the point of the anesthesia alone. It requires a great deal of planning and preparation by the surgeon , and education of the patient by the doctor as to risks and expectations. What a tragedy. I’ve had several minor facial procedures and knew what to expect and had great , long lasting results. I’ve done home care for facelift patients which requires cleaning drains every 4 hours. It is surgery .I’m so sad to see this poor woman. She just didn’t know what to expect. The recovery would be very hard even if done properly in the first place

Yes! I came to comment about this. A 22-year-old Australian girl died last year in Turkey by scammers. Her dad went to retrieve her body and said she was blue. Her organs were missing. The police in Turkey swept it under the carpet because the industry helps the economy. Those people disappeared. Another woman who went to Turkey and returned with 4 kids is in a wheelchair because the infection spread and here in Australia she had to have her legs amputated because it was life-threatening and spread into her blood. To many stories to mention about Australian women getting surgery in Turkey. Even after the Gov and health department in Australia keep warning people, they still don’t listen.

You’ll eventually gain the weight back and have a hanging stomach again. I’m just blown away at how much food was on those kids plates. I don’t eat that much in a whole day. getting plastic surgery for her hanging belly I get. But she needs to teach her kids a healthy lifestyle. They'd have a job billing a UK private clinic nevermind a totally different countries clinic. When going private anywhere, the client needs to do their full research and be fully aware of ALL risks. If there's a slight chance of a risk they can't afford the cost or complications of.. they shouldn't go through with it. But most go to cheap/advertising spam companies.. who will not disclose the risks and will damn right lie/hide the risks. Turkey is a poorer country than the UK so they all jump on any band waggon to make money. Seen similar with hair transplants for men. They have a 'qualified' surgeon who does the initial stuff.. then leaves it to completely random/poorly trained people to complete the surgery and the 'qualified' doctor is never seen again.

Of all the things to be cheap about, why skimp on your body, your life? If it were me the hardest part would be that my own vanity, my own choices caused it all, I did it to myself. And, no the taxpayers should NOT be paying for this. If she can afford the original surgery & flight/accomodations to Turkey, she should be billed for the work done by the NHS. Another 4 months passed still no appointment for a surgery although I lost significant t amount of weight and had pain on a daily basis. After nine months altogether I had to go back home once again to have the surgery done there. I lost 9 months of my life for nothing. I had major setback in my career because when it started I was in between jobs and although I kept going to interviews I was in extreme pain, sweating and difficulty concentrating during the interview process. This was 2013, I still feel traumatised. So please stop saying going abroad is bad. There are everywhere bad hospitals and doctors. You need to do through research to before doing anything. I don’t understand why some people don’t do their research. These days there is controversy and it’s widely known about the botched and dangerous plastic surgeries being done overseas. Life isn’t a game of chance Be very careful and research when deciding.

People can get bad surgery in the UK or the US. Watch Botched-it’s both American and foreign doctors who do terribly bad surgeries. And the fake doctors too.

I was very shocked that because she went in for her weight she would feed her children such enormous plates of food.

She did a year research and still made such an ignorant decision. It’s worth the extra money for a safe doctor and hospital.

She went in for cheap cosmetic surgery and had too many major procedures done all at the same time. She's lucky to have survived it

The British Medical Association needs to be informed of all deaths, disfigurements, injuries inflicted on British subjects abroad, not just in Turkey. My sister in law died as a result of a similar operation in Turkey. Two sons, sisters, brothers and her husband ( my wonderful brother) having to carry on their lives without her. Her grandchild born 6 weeks later. Rest in Peace, Laura.

💡This lady keep spinning the unfortunate wheel! Feeding her kids such a big portions finally going to made them overweight as well and they will start dreaming the same dream to loose weight the ''easy way'' and the chance for them to put themselves in the same situation like going abroad for cheap surgery which will leave them butchered as well. She's nice lady but and i wish her the best, but obviously, she hasn't learn her lesson.
