He is simply the violinist playing with greater perfection at this age and comparing himself to his peak

all the other orchestral are wearing masks instead of him and he is older than everybody else there?

Far be it for me to criticize one of the most influential players of the previous generation, but his chops are starting to fade and the intonation here would be unacceptable for even a high level conservatory, let alone a touring soloists.

At this point people come to watch him because he is THE Itzhak Perlman and they understand that age makes him les accurate with his fingers

It's also probably a piece he's played a million times. It almost felt like listening to Harold Bloom run through a quick recap of "The Catcher and the Rye."

I get what you mean. He lost what made him stand out. But he is still Ithhak Perlman. His skill might be going but he is still here. And he still wants to play and people want to hear him. I'd definetly be sad if he stopped touring

His amazing tone is starting to fade! And I'd only guess it's out of his control But I'm glad he hasn't let old age stop him from performing After all his life is incomplete without the violin

Yes but that’s ageing He’s still so passionate about the violin, produces wonderful melodies and does it all just under the age of 80. He really is a sensation
