I worked on this show, which won a national Emmy Award. I got to carry Itzhak's violin and I can be seen scrambling around the stage at Damrosch Park at the final show. Glenn DuBose, the Executive Producer was a brilliant man.

I love this music. I come from a Jewish family that lived in Rzeszow, Poland. Now, I live in USA. My dad played Jewish music on violin when I was young but back then I did not appreciate that. Now, I cannot get enough of it.

I worked on this program. The great Executive Producer Glenn DuBose conceived of this program and brought it to fruition on PBS's "Great Performances" series. It won a national Emmy Award and is brilliant from start to finish. I even got to carry the Maestro's violin. One of the highlights of my life.

I think Jewish-Polish traditions are very rich. I'm surprised that currently both groups want to distant theselves from each other. When I was a young boy, we had several Jewish neighbors and many purely Polish ones. We all got along perfectly fine and those were really happy moments in my life. All Jewish families immigrated from Poland in 70s and we no longer stay in touch, but I've exchanged messages with some of my Polish friends in the past. I wish all children could be happy like that.

I like klesmer music so much. It’s like folk songs from Epirus a region in Greece. Similar musical instruments and somehow similar rhythm
