One rocket you didn't mention that I like a lot is Faith Keeper with auto loading explosive light. You are sacrificing damage using it but I've found it useful with bosses that I've had difficulty hitting with normal rockets like the GotD final boss or in encounters where you have to move a lot like Vesper's final. Skill issue I know but it's worked wonders for me. I usually use it when I want to surge/scav match with Choir of One. I also give it points for looking and sounding cool but that's not really important 🤣

In that same vein Crowning Duologue is also good for the tracking. Sacrifice in a bit of damage for the most consistent hits. Can also get some really good perk combos as well.

should note with summum bonnum, it has damaging scaling issues; so the more who use it in a fireteam means it will do less damage, if anything id probably just go with one and then the rest use bequest or something else. also if you still have it from year 1, it stared back is unironically the best solar sword; it comes basically with a god roll, even unenhanced it puts in a lot of work for solar surge. through the downside is you needed to have played during year one to likely have it so.

I was looking for a dps sword to use for if I happen to find a good wolfpack/frame combination Ergo and its solar. Remembered It Stared Back and pulled it from collections, the Leviathan weapons looked so good! Its a shame they dont recycle those assets 🙃

crowning duologue strand rocket launcher deserved a shout imo. It being a precision frame means it has inherent tracking module. It is pretty niche but on a boss like GOTD final boss being able to use a rocket without having to sacrifice any perks to compensate for the fight definitely has some value.

​@@Unsinkable-sam451 the Last Wish secret chests can give you weapons and gear even if you never completed an encounter, even red borders! I got my patterns for Apex without ever completing a single LW encounter. Pretty easy to quickly grab em on 3 chars every weekly reset.

If you input the Shuro Chi wish wall code and then walk back a bit, you can get the secret chest which can drop anything, even stuff you haven’t gotten before. Can do that once per week per character, no glitches or tech required

Dude, you missed the retrofit escapade lmg with 4th time's the charm and target lock. If you add appended mag and the backup mag mod, it can hold 111 rounds in the mag and absolutely melts majors and champions, then does insane dps on bosses. It's also craftable.

The only thing I'll dispute with anyone on is Cold Comfort, where I'm still waiting for my godroll Envious Assassin with Bipod, so that I have the excuse to shoot 10 rockets with the origin trait packing that extra amount. STILL WAITING, BUNGIE! Other than that, the LMGs with B&S surprised me, but I can't argue since I like LMGs more than rockets and swords. Plus, Slammer with Cold Steel and Eager Edge is literally the only sword I own that's been worth keeping to me. Cheers for the dedication!

If you want to do dps with rocket on bosses that moves around a lot and are hard to hit (like final boss in GOTD) precision frames may be the best option, they have lower base damage but if you can garantee that every rocket hit you will most likely do higher totaldamage then if you didn’t have tracking and missed a couple rockets

I think the overlooked part in all this is even if the game feels a bit whatever,mixed bag, the physical options for a boss DPS rotation are plentiful for the first time in a very long time even if you don't have the best perfect 5/5 thing ever. As the saying goes, if you're on track for the 2 phase anyway, it really starts to matter less how perfect stuff is. Hell I ran Contest Pantheon with a random who only had Roar of Bear and Marsillion for useful dps weapons.

I run 3 legendary heavy weapons. 1. the slammer (or falling guillotine) with eager edge. 2. Hullabaloo or Dimensional Hypotrochoid. 3. Chill inhibitor or bittersweet. I am happy to see the heavy wave frames mentioned. They are actually good now which I love. I love having a heavy GL that can actually be both add clear and boss damage. Every now and then I will use an LMG (almost always commemoration) but that's pretty uncommon. Still holding out hope we get a good craftable solar LMG since the best thing we have (that's not from trials) is avalanche which is dawning only... Oh yeah caster frame swords. The strand one from warlords ruin is actually really nice. If you have unraveling rounds that sword is stupid good. If they ever give us a caster frame with eager edge it would probably be my main heavy weapon.

You should make a video on best 3 man team comps. Could be separate categories or even videos for dungeons, nightfalls etc…. This showcases builds that may have a hard time soloing content but work great in a group. A team of verity’s brow for instance. Or Phoenix protocol and Orpheus rig super alternating in onslaught. Something to think about.

If u guys need a void rocket but don’t like playing trials, I recommend faith keeper from episode echoes, it’s craftable which is a lot easier to obtain, it’s not as good as tomorrows answer but it can get clown cartridge/or auto loading and explosive light

not to be rude, but it is completely antithetical to how machine guns work. Envious assassin is bad on a machine gun because you should be using the machine gun for add clear. So you won't proc envious unless you get other weapon kills. And if you are doing that, then don't run a machine gun. Next, target lock is also antithetical to a machine gun's purpose. It is best for add clear. So you don't want to use it for single target damage. Hence why target lock is basically useless. Will never proc it on adds, and if you are using it on a high health target, then you should be using something that has more burst damage like a rocket launcher or grenade launcher. TLDR that is a bad roll on a machine gun
