IU is arguably the biggest female soloist in Korea. Although she is greatly beloved in Eastern Asia, she was said to be less known in the western world because, as she writes basically all her songs they are mostly in korean and her style is quite different to the mainstream kpop. Even so, this past weekend she finished her first world tour including concerts in the US and Europe, which also sold out within minutes. If you want a similar emotional vibe from IU I'd recommend "Ending scene", or for her more kpopy side there's "Holssi" from her newest album or the older "Bbibbi" There's also an "Ending scene" cover/duet with V, the guy from the MV which is quite great imo Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction.

His eye is a different color because he is blind from that eye. In the camcorder it shows them before their injuries. IU is a seasoned and well renowned South Korean singer and actress (she's the one in the video), you should definitely check more of her work. The guy from the MV is actually a member of BTS and an actor as well, V is his stage name. You could also check his work, I bet you would be surprised with his voice and music style. If you probably heard of BTS but haven't checked their sound, it's a good next journey. They have a variety of genres that you could probably enjoy. I wish I could relive discovering IU for the first time again. You guys have just stumbled unto the gem of korea. Fyi, in the world of kpop, its a fast pace industry which is mostly dominated by boy/girl groups which mostly have a 7 year lifespan of enjoying fame, most dont last more than that, if those that do would mean they've really succeded or would slowly branch into solo projects. IU is an anomaly as she debut as a soloist back in 2008 and has been on the top even after 17 years in the industry. As another commenter as mentioned, she isnt as big as other kpop groups internationally but her latest world tour that has just ended showed that her demand from the US and UK is very miuch real, is just that she hasnt ventured much outside of Asia to test the waters. Shes a singer songwriter who writes almost all her songs. Actress as you can see shes the one in the video above and also involve in many great kdramas and now movies. For me one of the best singers not just in the sense that she can sing veruy well but the fact the she understands her vocal tone so well and that her voice brings out so much emotion and comfort when heard. My way of intrepreting this MV is that those cube represent the ideology of can't thinking outside of the box, so they are eliminating whoever doesn't fit in the ideology of their box. And both IU and V in the story with IU using sign language and V having a different color of one of his eyes which IU didn't cover during the final scene, indicating that they are the defects product of the society (IU being deft/mute, V being blind one eye). Even tho the society aka the cube doesn't accept their mere existence, yet they found their utopia and happiness as long as their Love Win All bad odds against the society even for just a brief moments of their life, that's still worth it.

IU just held her 100th concert a weekend or two ago - the final stop (in Seoul) of her first world tour in years. V attended and brought a high school friend. They sat in VIP box with j-hope of BTS. This is notable, because both V and j-hope, as well as all but one other BTS member, are currently serving in the military (South Korea has mandatory military service for all men). Only Jin has already completed his; he exited this past June. J-hope gets out in 19 days from today, and the others will all get out in June of next year. IU is one of the most famous singers in Asia (she is from South Korea). She is strangely not famous in the rest of the world, although she absolutely deserves it. You should definitely check out more from her catalogue. Also, she is quite a good actress and has been in several K-dramas (which you can see in the video ofc). If you guys are moving into Kpop, I would highly recommend the group Dreamcatcher. I think their sound would suit you guys quite well. A good song to start would probably be Boca. Also, the rock band Rolling Quartz will most certainly suit your palette. Another group to check out might be Blackpink, even though their sound is more hip-hop, I think their attitude and song meanings would be up your alley.

In the video IU is deaf you can see them using sign language in some of the scenes and V is blind in one eye which is why one eye is lighter which i think he lost sight in that eye due to an injury since there is a scar. Check V, check BTS! BTS is an incredible group, with surprising lyricism, wonderful voices, impeccable choreography, etc. They sing in mixed Korean and English and there are songs entirely in English too. They have always suffered a certain type of prejudice, labeled as just another boyband with spoiled young people with pretty faces, racism, xenophobia, etc. Suggestion: FIX YOU (Coldplay cover), to hear the purity of their voices and harmonies. He has a huge discography over his 11-year career and several MVs with BILLIONS of views.

In my opinion, young lovers reject the standards of the world(where only 'strictive' squares exist) and eventually, over time (age, job, kid, lives) the feelings of love become a dud that buried on side of mind like a pile of clothes. They become 'ordinary' adults or couple by 'in BOX'. not Death.... still alive... Whether lost by something unknown is purity or love, loss seems to be stimulated by MV. It may be a simple loss of losing two lovers on the video. It may be an ARMY looking at BTS who has to join the military. The box can be simply alien / irresistible fate or time / social absurdity, hate, discrimination / real life / anything surrounding situation that does not allow love. Whatever. Tears are a natural reaction. (Some laugh them off for fun because of language, culture, age and experience differences, or experts are too busy analyzing song and video. OR extreme 'T') In bitter world, but it's a living proof that somehow "love" remains in our hearts and 'Love' can be revived to be a force to overcome hatred, discrimination and so on. I Believe That's why love wins all. +Cam can be a filter of love, utility of precious memory(VHS,LP,PHOTO), or a hopeful fantasy to avoid that reality. A mysterious black group points the finger at two lovers for failing to adjust to society and causing conflict. Of course, the two fall in love, bumping / pushing / taking away food without caring about them. ++blue BG(light): cold brutal world(Real) orange : warm imaginary world(CAM) red: Fear, death, evil... but also last flame of love before it becomes ash(pile of clothes). +++ Maybe IU made this song because she doesn't have a wedding song lol
