I saw an article on Twitter saying that IU is deaf and Tae is blind in one eye, both have been that way from birth. The cube is getting rid of people with "defects" and the camera is then imagining a world where they can be happy because they're "normal". Honestly heartbreaking 😭

Korean fans pointed out that tae is blind in one eye, while IU is deaf. And the cube is hunting them down for their disabilities. The camera doesn’t show them the past, it shows their life if they met society’s standards of perfection and weren’t discriminated against.

Yeah that’s what I think too, it’s not just fan culture even random knets, people are so hard on them and judging like turning into soulness robotic cubes, but there are many ways to intepret this MV - like their disabilities and people expecting celebrities to be perfect through the lens. IU is such a genius.
