He left SM, established his own called Company Soosoo and now using his own name as Doh Kyungsoo for his solo music and acting. (When he's in sm, he's using D.O. for singing career and Doh Kyung-soo for acting) That's why IU introduced him as Doh Kyungsoo not D.O. Thank you for the reaction ❤

first meeting of 2 celebrity heavyweights. fans have waited years as their careers are similar. Incredibly successful actor/vocalists. However if ever u watch DO catch live eels u realise he doesn’t get flummoxed. Rather he is being polite as its first meeting & it’s her show. He has done this 4 other hosts. When is friends with the hosts like Zico (brilliant Ed Sheeran perfect and Zico s spot covers) will he be informal & relaxed.

Kyungsoo has a very calm and unbothered personality. I.U is a fan of his and when you are a fan of Kyungsoo or of EXO you know the following about him: 1. He likes to go home when he is finished with his work or when he is feeling uncomfortable, 2. He hates doing cute things Don't ask him to do heartcheeks or to pose in cute ways like I.U asked him, He will cringe 🤣3. He likes to cook and has a chef license. 4. He has a very unbothered personality., 5. Trends and social media are not his thing. He opened his instagram just recently. 6. He is an amazing singer and actor. 7. His albums are amazing. This man can sing. 7. He is very humble and polite. Likes to bow to every fan at their concert. You can see how he stood up and bowed every time. What I love about this interview is that I.U played in all of this points. Asking him to do a cute pose, asking him if he want to go home multiple times. Believe me he was not starstrucked. He didn't know her songs. He took his time to listen to them. I hope that they become great friends.

Just to note that Kyungsoo is not really flummoxed. If you had to know him longer, he’s not the type to get easily perplexed by anything. It’s just that he easily gets nervous around unfamiliar environment. As mentioned in the interview, this is the first time that they ever had a conversation with each other and they never had any connection before. Besides, Kyungsoo is extremely polite and he’s just being himself to remain polite to everyone. As IU mentioned, Kyungsoo had this unique attribute which he made every song that he sang looks and sounds easy though it’s actually hard to imitate. This is because he’s one of the best vocalist among his peers. He had a very great technique, agility and emotive ability in his vocal. He’s good in expressing emotion in his voice, credit to the fact that he’s a great actor among the actors his age, accolade with multiple awards for film award in Korea. If you actually listen to Love Wins All cover, you will notice how quick and smooth he changed from one key to another. He’s very well known for his vocal agility. Besides, he actually sang the song in quite a high key or chord for a male singer in order to not disrupt the feel of the original version. Not many male singer can sing on the note he’s using. As for the duet part, he actually using a very unique note that male singer don’t usually use when singing with a female partner. He’s actually doing it in a complex way. Simple reason is because this song is not originally built for duet, it meant for a solo. So as a singer he need to figure out the new chord and way to sing it as duet. At the same time, he toned down his vocal strength to not overpowering IU as his partner while doing the harmonization to ensure it sounds beautiful for listener. Technically, female voice will usually sound clearer due to the fact that female voice usually had a higher pitch than male voice. This is why the duet touch the heart of many people and went viral in Korea.

I'm a Akmu fan, so I discovered him thru his rewrite the stars performance, I'm overall a only solo kyungsoo stan rather than an exo stan. After discovering him, I watched his solo works and performances, one thing I'd say about him is that I was so impressed that a MALE artist who's high notes doesn't hurt your ears drums or finally a male artist who's not only about range and yelling like a goat with no support. But rather a simple tone, doesn't mean he's not got the best agility in kpop. His voice is so full, resonated and controlled that I'm astonished by his adaptability over his duet partners, he NEVER overpowers them but rather back it up perfectly. IU's and suhyun and literally a alternative voice yet he matched so fxckin well with either of them had me so impressed! I also noticed that he isn't someone u can impress or be seen appalled over a celeb no matter if it's supposed to be the biggest star, I mean this in a very respectful way, he's rather VERY polite respectful and honest. It'd take a lifetime to get a genuine compliment out of him, I'd say he's humble & rather give u a flattering remark & pat on a back to be polite. U seem to know him a lot, can u tell me more of his personality? I really like this men

I hope u will get ur V&IU Love wins all” live cover. However given DO is one of three best male kpop vocalists 4 last decade - the other his EXO colleague’s - I think it will be more of IU singing & V joining in as opposed to this version which is DO predominately. Meantime NCT’s douyong gave a great version aswell.

I don't think Kyungsoo is flabbergasted by IU, they're both very respected singers in Korea. IU is actually Kyungsoo's fan. Kyungsoo is a very shy and humble person so he tends to be a bit awkward.
