I love that they allowed Patrick to grow beyond being just a party boy. Ivan played with his emotions a lot, but that was him wrestling with coming to terms with who he is and what he wants. In the end, he was there at Patrick's most broken moment. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Ivan didn't know how to deal with his feelings for Patrick as it was new to him, though it wasn't cool for Patrick, but at the end, their relationship felt sincere and pure. Like Ivan said, there's connection between them, it's not forced, it's obvious. Their sex scene was beautiful to see because for the first time in Elite, we witnessed two people making love and having a really intimate moment.

So these elements taken all together, we can notice than What many fans presented as a simple mistake, in Patrick it is not : he had choices to do nothing with Cruz and finding others guys, he could have chosen to not give his teenage body to an old men and entered This creepy relationship, and he would have avoided this for Ivan if their relationship was perfect and if feels nothing for a pervy daddy teen relationship, but that is not the case and What i find sneaky is that the show does not clearly assume that yes, indeed, Patrick had feelings for Ivan, but that yes, independantly from Ivan, Patrick also dreamed on a relationship with an old men in daddy teen way, and that yes, Patrick has independantly from Ivan existing, desire and feelings for the daddy Cruz, as he may never had before for guys his age :(.

Unless Ivan “proves himself worthy” to Patrick next season, I’m not on board with them as a couple. Almost the entire season 5 was Ivan getting Patrick’s hopes up, and then shutting him down. He messed with his feelings a lot!!! Patrick didn’t hook up with Cruz thinking/knowing it would hurt Ivan, he just took the option he was left with. However, Ivan kept going for Ari, knowing how it hurt Patrick. Intention matters!!!

I totally agree! As much as I love Ivan and Patrick together I feel like Ivan is just playing with his emotions not knowing what he really wants. Maybe he chose Patrick because he figured Ari was taken anyway, and I know there was that voice mail, but still... he likes Ari too. I think he will be pulled between the two next season now that Samu is gone. They will probably have a love triangle, which sucks because that means Ivan will probably cheat. I just don't trust him. I feel like Patrick needs to stop chasing boys who don't love him back. He needs to be in a relationship with an out gay guy, someone who is monogamous and who loves and supports him. Someone who is mature and won't play games. Sadly that person is not Ivan.

The "toying" with his emotions in the beginning was messy but understandable given he was slowly coming to terms with his sexuality. In regards to Ari, oh yeah. They didn't even have a connection and the ensuing drama just served as filler cause they can't have Patrick and him in a solid relationship yet ugh. I hope Ari finally gets a good storyline next season, I feel the writers should treat her character better...

I feel Patrick was a bit pushy with his feeling toward Ivan. Should the relationship work, Patrick must understand that Ivan will be attracted to other sexes? Patrick needs to prove he is dedicated to Ivan before.
