It was very brave of you to speak out on issues that affect not only you but many others. It's inspiring to see someone like you step up and let their voice be heard even if it wavers. Since the DACA announcement, I've also felt a little lost but I've found that doing something small like calling up your representatives and letting them know you support DACA has helped. I don't think you ever get over the feeling of not really fitting in either culture, you eventually just learn to walk a thin line between the two. I hope you feel better soon, thank you for keeping up the hard work but don't be ashamed to take a break if you need it. We'll still love you.

It's comforting to know that there are other people who feel the same way I do and have the same identity issues. I moved to England when I was 5 and have been here 12 years, yet I still feel like an outsider and am treated like one by most. But then I also feel like an outsider back in my home country because although I can speak the language decently, you can still tell I didn't grow up there and didn't experience the same things as people my age there. It's difficult, and I don't really think anyone gets over it. You just kind of learn to embrace it I guess. I haven't watched many of your videos but I still feel for you, stay strong and keep your head up. I can see you have many people who support you and love you. This is the first video of yours I've watched and I immediately subscribed. I came here with expectations of just an every day makeup tutorial, nothing special, but I've left with so much more. I've always lived in America so I don't relate exactly with what you are feeling... but I'm mixed with black and white and I never quite feel like I fit in around white people when I'm around them and I never quite feel like I fit in with black people when I'm around them. All my life I've never felt like I 100% belong no matter who I'm around and with time it has gotten a little easier, but I also don't have any friends who can relate to my problem. Hearing you talk about not being able to fit in completely with different ethnic groups makes me feel less alone and I know other people go through what I go through, but hearing someone actually talk about it makes a world of a difference. Thank you for sharing your struggles so honestly and I can assure you that you've helped so many people with just this one video. I'm going to check out your other content. Hey, thank you for creating and talking about things that matter in your videos! It's not an easy thing to do and I feel more important topics should be represented in the media. And Asian-American/ Asian issues aren't talked about much. It's nice to see some representation and have someone standing up for it. You are the first i've heard talk about Asian DACA issues. I really feel for you. I think a lot of people don't realize that the Asian-American (or really any hyphenated American) experience is unique from both. You experience things from both sides, but also struggle with never truly fitting in with either. And even within the group, people aren't the same. We've all had different experiences. I legit just got all teary when you started sniffling, like idek but it makes me so sad that you feel isolated sometimes but I hope that it'll get better and that you can feel at home and at ease wherever you are as soon as you've come to fully explore and accept (kinda not the right word but I hope you know what I mean) your identity.

I wanted to give you the biggest hugs in the world when I saw you tearing up. It is very difficult seeing your loved ones going through things that you wish you could help or control. As a fellow Malaysian, it does get hard because people don't see you belong anywhere due to the way you speak or behave. When you go elsewhere, you also feel lost and isolated because you never been through the same things. I personally don't feel like I fit in or belong anywhere despite growing up in Malaysia all my life. Sending you lots of love and positive energy to you.

I feel so so sorry for all the affected people in America (and their friends and family) and I sincerely hope that it won't come to what we all dread. It's cruel and inhumane to seperate friends and familys over basically nothing. I don't know how that feels but it must be terrible to suddenly have to face the possible loss of a dear friend // to have to dread to be forced to leave your home country. Even though I can't really relate since I am from Germany, I still want to say that I feel with you and that I feel your sadness and I am so sorry that you and other Americans have to go through that.
