IVF ROUND 2- can I transfer? WAIT WHAT?!?

Ahhh PIO! We did them for IVF. My one tip would be to TRY to not hesitate at all. My boyfriend hates needles but he did mine for me. They only hurt when he was tentative. When he just stuck them in like a dart I hardly felt it. It did get pretty tender after two weeks though. I still like it better than suppositories or gel. Less mess and you only have to think about it once a day and then it's over. So happy that transfer day is almost here for you! Hope those 18 days fly by. ☺️

Rebecca Kehoe ughhhh my husband can’t do mine he works from like anywheres between 1-3am to whenever later in the day and they want me to do them in the morning. So I have to learn. Ughhhh did you heat or ice the area? Message after? Oh gawdd 😂

@@amybaker8871 We did the ice before but I don't think it made much of a difference for me. I read not to do it too long or the muscle will be stiffer and it could hurt more afterwards. Definitely massage after to help disperse the oil, otherwise you will feel like your sitting on a lump. And heating pad was good for when it felt a bit sore. I think it would have been doable on my own, especially after having someone do it the first few times. Hopefully you can find a helper at work for the first couple and then doing it yourself will be no sweat.

My FET is this Friday too! We are transfer buddies! I have taken 2 PIO so far. My husband does them for me. They suck...but will be worth it if I get pregnant. Prayers for you!!

thinking of you! That's awesome that you work somewhere where a nurse was able to give you your shot. Since you didn't know you were going to be doing PIO how did you get your meds so soon? does your clinic actually carry them? I had to order them to be shipped to my house so i was just curious. I was also curious are most of the appts at your clinic first come first serve? just a different way so was curious :) wishing you well!

chihuahua0965 haha I am very lucky to have nurses close by, I did my own today tho, haha it was something 😂😂 hopefully I’ll get better the more I do it. My clinic has a pharmacy right in it! So I just get it there, the same day! If the pharmacy is closed and you need meds the nurses just go get them then the pharmacist will call you for payment when he gets there. appointments aren’t first come first serve just bloodwork and ultrasounds. All that is done with the nursing staff and they do bloodwork and ultrasounds from 7:30-8:30 daily and that is on a first come first serve bases, when you are just getting bloodwork/ ultrasound but everything is is appointments.

@@amybaker8871 gotcha! That's so awesome that there is a pharmacy on site! I have to order mine from another state! So usually at the start of a cycle I get a good chunk of what I need for the first part anyways. I'm a worrier so I always order refills early which sometimes means meds/$ goes wasted but I need the peice of mind.
