Marian Salsbury thanks for watching! So it all depends if she wants to do excursions while abroad during your weekends cause that’s where most of your money goes but if not you don’t need that much probably $150 a week, just for souvenirs, bus fare, snacks, any outside food cause on the weekends they don’t provide food. Hope that helps! :)

do you feel like you seen a lot of peru on the weekends? i want to apply for it for the child care but of course want to experience peru’s culture as well and see new things:)

Hey! That’s definitely not a problem you have plenty of time to do your own thing, travel and explore Peru. You only volunteer up until noon and have the rest of the day during weekdays plus have the whole weekend to experience.

n a m e l e s s 101 hello! I’m glad you found the video helpful and yeah you have to pay for all flights, excursions, bus fare, and meals on weekends. The program fees includes housing and meals during the week light breakfast, lunch, and dinner and transportation only from the airport.

I don’t think it’s necessary but definitely learn some basic words and sentences it would help a lot! Especially with the locals that you will be volunteering with! :)
