Korg Pandora PX4D - Demo video Part 1

I've had the PX4D since at least 2002 & I've never had ANY of the problems as described below or above, this little gadget has it ALL! & once this one takes a dive I WILL go & get another one asap!! I've jammed from 9pm in the evening until the sun came up more than once & I still haven't tapped into all of it's selections!!! I give this creation 5 stars all the way across!!!!

I have been using korg pandora processors for years, now I have the PX4 and I use it for recording, and live shows and for practice, and I have never had any thing go wrong with them I have all the need in a small box.

I moved to Australia from the US last year after selling close to $10k worth of gear. The two items I took with me were my first guitar, a ratty strat and a PX4D. I have subsisted on only that for a year. Good piece of kit!

@kornklone Your right about noise gate, One thing I noticed these box type effect units need, is a stand for them so I invented a special mount for them Im using In a Christmas video.

@joepic85 there's a bypass mode and you can turn off the ampli simulation (or any other "effects", just by pressing "enter" when it is selected on screen), or even add just a bass amp, wich gives you a cleaner sound!

I have heard many cases of people using the PX4 for gigging. I used a similar product for playing with a band in fact. I just ordered the PX4 and may use it for the same

I liked the effects etc. unless the distortion mode because I prefer square only. I'm tired of noise. The modern life already give us multi noise options! I liked this Pandora PX4D!

@djluis49 the new px5d has pedal switchs, but it's not that fast, it up and down! there are 4 buttons with favorite presets too, but only in px5d again...

I've used a lot of units like this, and I have NEVER heard a noise floor as high as on the PX4D. The white noise is genuinely louder than the guitar or bass signal no matter what you do (and I've tested multiple units, all were the same.)

@ivnvir So, if you are playing live with this, how do you change presets? In the PX4D. The thing is that im buying a new electric guitar and also tough of getting a cheap multifx unit. But im going to use it live sometimes, its not only for practice. Thats why the concern. Thx for your fast reply!

good news every the korg padora pedal is put.one korg 4d in a compact tuning pedal form with all the features as old one!!

I didn't understand what you said. BTW, you can plug Pandora in your computer's line in and record normally. It acts like a amp being micked, so you'll have a "studio" sound for your guitar. Also you can record the rythms and build a big song. You can "chain" 16 rythms directly on pandora, without computer, but maybe you want more, so just plug it on the computer and that's it.

I am wondering about how the output level is. How loud can you get with just headphones and do you start clipping the amp if you plug the line right into the amp?

This was a good investment back in past, now its not really good as you can probably do a lot more with Guitar Rig Software also computer accessibility. This is good for jamming alone at night with headphones. (previous experience using it )

This PX4D is the bass version and the guitar version (your blue one) together. I think that's the only difference: they put the bass and guitar versions together. But this one lacks some features of the bass version, but I'm not sure.

Take a look at my other videos. I play it directly plugged in a cheap 2.1 system and it sounds great. There's no problem with tweakability...

i am troubleshooting my set cos' of bad quality sound. Your video just proved that this pandora is fine. So, I'm gonna have to look at my guitar. It's an indonesian made Ibanez RG320FM equipped with INF3&INF4 pickups. Shall change the pickups? or change the whole guitar?? if anyone else knows as well, please reply. Really appreciated...

Very nice video but I wish the LCD screen was visible, it is at a bad angle with glare. Also the sync problem is annoying. Great guitar playing though.
