Solved the Black screen issue and the weird launcher problem , by verifying game files (from installed files on steam ) part helped me out a lot but before this step I deleted both the toc files from assets in Spider-Man steam file , after that verified files and after that checked if game was working and it was all back to normal without any mods then again switched on overstrike and just added some suits rather than All at once and this time after installing didn’t crash like that kept adding suits in small amount and game was working with new suits , added the superior Spider-Man one from Spider-Man 2 looks really amazing .

You're a life saver bro. I've been trying to mod this game ever since the spiderman modding tool got Outdated and I was trying to use overstrike, but it didn't work. Until I finally got to read your comment and deleted the toc file and verified my game and that's when I was able to mod again. I don't know if you will ever see this comment. but thank you so much for commenting this. If you had never shared your experience, I would have never been able to mod again. and everyone else who might struggle with this, read his comment, you have to make sure you delete any trace of any old mod files or Toc files in your asset archive folder. and once that's done you go to settings - Properties -Installed files- then Verify your game. then you use Overstrike and mod.

@KirbeatsAnimations you are welcome bro . Had to see multiple vids and once I understood how to solve it did it and it got solved and now I'm able to download whatever mods I need . I knew I had to put it here since I knew no one else had gotten proper solution to this issue , and I remembered the times when there were issues in other games and no one would put the solution to it , so I had to put it . for anyone having the LAUNCHER_PLAY issue there was aguy in the comments that told you guys to delete the "toc" file in asset archive folder but you also need to delete the toc.bak file as well. afterwards you can verify your files and then reinstall your mods and it'll work just fine.

every time I download a mod my launcher all ways says Launcher_play and when I click it the game never launches. Did I do something wrong?

i had that problem a while ago and i can't remember if this was the solution but if it is: right click the game - go to properties - go to installed files - verify integrity - let that do its thing and then it should be fixed.

I really dont understand. I would love if you just made a complete video of how to overcome the Launcher_Play. Its ruining my experience because now i cant play without mods. For some reason. I deleted both toc files but cant seem to find a verify files area anywhere. It's super frustrating because i was able to play with overstrike a while ago and all of a sudden i cant. I cant even install the mods i put in anymore, I deleted a ton that i had a while ago and now its just saying "error log" and in that it shows all of my suits that i deleted and made sure to save the changes so they stay deleted. If anyone can help me figure this issue out, please respond and try to help this. It a huge problem and at this point i just wasted money.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I"ve tried modding this game since it came to PC. Just tried again for the first time in months. I wanted the Avengers Campus suit, downloaded it, extracted it, booted up overstrike to add the suit into the game. Loaded my game up and it's as if I haven't done anything. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong? This is incredibly frustrating after I've tried several times to mod this game.

@@Topher-qm5gx i have found out, left click the mod you want you want to delete, is not necessary to untick the mods because it won't delete once you've selected the mods you wanna delete you press your delete key, which in this case is Del, and Overstrike's going to ask you if you want to delete those mods you click yes and done. I hope you could understand me, my english is not very good, if you did not I could make a video tutorial of how to

@@HHPLAYS599 I think of two reasons: 1. You are at the limit of 80 suit mods and now you will have to remove some AND replace your save file with a new one or 2. Because if the new update some things are messed up and author of overstrike mentioned there are some problems that are being investigated so yeah
