Hi Adam. No, you don't need a capo to play this song. The capo is there because I'm teaching the song exactly as Zach Bryan plays it. You can just play the chords as per my lesson without a capo but you won't be in tune with my lesson or Zach Bryan's recording. Hope that makes sense. Ivor

Hi ST. Ok then lets see if I can offer some help. Firstly you need to get your guitar strings tuned to 'Standard Tuning'. to do this I would suggest you obtain a basic 'clip on' type of electronic guitar tuner if you haven't already got one. To play along to Zach Bryan's recording or my lesson of 'Hope Again' you then need to place a capo on the first fret as shown in my lesson. You should then be good to go. Ivor
