Jesse Colin Young was a very talented songwriter and guitarist. "Get Together" appeared on his band, the Youngbloods's, great album "Elephant Mountain." There were several excellent songs which featured the Youngbloods fine lead guitarist, "Banana." "Elephant Mountain" never received the accolades it deserved because "Get Together" was such a huge hit that it became something of an anthem for college aged listeners during the Vietnam War era. Thank you for making it come alive. I, too, was a college student at the time the album was released.

I remember a Haley Mills song Let's Get Together from the original Parent Trap movie. Curiously it had a YEAH YEAH YEAH featured although I think it was from 1961? Very Strange! totally different song of course from this one.
