Watch me bake some delicious monkey bread with my daughter Ivy, an easy recipe to cook with children and fun to roll up those monkey bread balls! We dipped ours in baked brie yum yum.
750g plain flour
2 tsp olive oil
300 ml warm water
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
optional melted butter and garlic to pour over the bread prior to baking
1. Add all the ingredients to a mixer individually with dough hook attachment.
2. On a medium speed allow the mixer to knead until dough forms into a ball and for 10 minutes.
3. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for half an hour to an hour until double in size.
4. turn out the dough and punch out the air and give the dough another knead. Allow to rise for another half an hour before constructing the bread.
5. Tear off chunks of dough and roll into balls and evenly distribute balls into a greased dish. We use a bundt pan. Optionally add your melted butter.
6. Bake in the oven at 180C for 25 minutes until golden on top.
7. tear off lumps of dough and dip into your favourite sauces.
