I just love the nozzle for this airbrush because of its size. Most airbrushes have a fragile nozzle with a thread design and u can easily fuck it up with a slight overthrew. This one u don't need to worry about that.

Well you got me to buy one. First experience with one and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I'm no artist I just do model cars. It didn't work properly out of the box but I took it apart and put it back together and then it did. If I can handle it then most can.

Just bought one hp-cs, love the quality of the machine, the floating self centering nozzle...Found an Hansa 581, and although my eclipse is new but at 75€ I had to buy the Hansa...anyway, nowadays its all a big family...Harder and Steenbeck and Anest Iwata

WOW! You are one Barney Bad Ass artist my friend. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you work. I have the same exact airbrush, but I don’t do anything with mine like you do. I just paint plastic models with mine. My airbrush didn’t come as the kit like yours did. I just got the airbrush which is fine. One thing about it, as most people will attest, you won’t be disappointed with an Iwata.

Mike, great review! This is the one I have been patiently waiting for, so thank you . I have been looking at this brush and the Iwata Performance Plus C as next airbrush purchase. I currently only have siphon feed brushes & my Iwata Hp-bcs brushes are by far my favorite. However, I am itching for a gravity feed, lol and I can't make up my mind on which one. This review helps tremendously.

I decided to upgrade to a better airbush. I've watched many different video reviews pertaining to upgrading to a better performing airbrush. In almost all cases the reviewers recommnded the IWATA Eclipse HP-CS airbrush for being an airbrush to upgrade to. So yesterday, I had my daughter go to our local Hobby Lobby store and get me this same IWATA Eclipse HP-CS value set (the Hobby Lobby price was $149.00 less tax). Ater she brought it home to me I really didn't pay attention to what was supposed to be included in the kit and there was no contents list in the box to check with. However, I did notice that the factory seals were still intact upon the box of which I had to cut to open the box. After quickly checking the kit over in my hobby room I sat it aside for later when I had more time to get around to further testing it out and then start using it. But after watching your video today, I realized that my value kit included the following items.... The IWATA Eclipse HP-CS airbrush, a nozzle wrench, an IWATA brand Moisture filter, a bottle of cleaner, 3 bottles of paint (red, yellow and blue), the little yellow basic airbrushing booklet, the white multi-language instruction sheet, the factory test sheet, and the IWATA sticker. - But after watching your video today I realized that there was no hose included in the set. It's not as if I don't already have a couple of hoses of which came with a couple of my other airbrushes, but It makes me wonder if the factory has now decided not to include that item in the kit or do you think the factory accidently forgot to include it in the kit, or do you think I was cheated? - I'm not upset or angry, I'm Just asking for your view and thoughts. But once again you have produced and shared a wonderful video pertaining to your own review of the IWATA Eclipse HP-CS airbrush. So Thank You for doing a great job with another one of your great reviews.

I believe that is a different set, this set only includes one color. I am not sure to the discrepancy as I do not work for Iwata and am not to familiar with ALL their sets.

@@MikesBrush - I think you are correct. The small picture on your own kit's box (on the bottom left) shows everything you got in your kit. That same small picture on my kit's box shows everything I got in my kit but does not show a hose like yours does. So again, I think you are correct. I just bought his kit from Hobby Lobby for $149 except mine came with the water filter handle and second paint bottle vs the hose. I ordered a limiter replacement handle from Iwata. I use for painting scale models. Really a nice upgrade from a Paasche H

If you don't need a hose, Hobbytown has this airbrush in a different kit for $150. It comes with some paints just no hose. Update: I bought one of these and got red, yellow and blue of the impossible paint along with airbrush cleaner and lube.

YEAAAH bro...... I had an eclipse and an HP, not sure right now which eclipse exactly and exactly what HP BUT..... the hp was a more expensive iwata airbrush but the eclipse didnt get clogged as much and it flowed more consistent. MAYBE it had a smaller tip or what not but i was new to airbrush way back then.

Depends on quite a few factors but It is normal (at least for me) when doing fine details. This is because after a while, I will start to feel that the airbrush is beginning to be less responsive and less smooth due to paint thickening near the nozzle tip and needle. When I get that feeling I will spit out some paint and clean the tip. This happens to all my airbrushes - the less quality ones more often than the high quality ones.

I just bought an iwatta airbrush. (The one at Michael's crafts) and a Pasche compressor. I KNOW NOTHING! HAVENT EVEN OPENED IT YET....😁 I have a customer who has chosen for me to airbrush rit fabric dye colors. He wants a med dark blue to electric blue to teal blue to aqua fade on a raw ash wood snare drum. (He wants the darker colors at top and bottom of the snare...then fade lighter towards the middle) Then coated in a satin poly. Do you have any tips for me? Im new at using rit dyes. I know I can do this... I just need a little confidence boost. Do you have any vids fading rit colors on raw wood?

wow my eclipse doesn't have the two piece nozzle its a one piece brass nozzle . i wonder if the two piece would fit mine

The two piece nozzle is for the 0.35 mm. size setup, if you have the solid piece nozzle then you have a 0.5 mm setup.. All you need to do is buy the 0.35 mm. nozzle and 0.35 mm. spray cap and 0.35 mm. needle conversion set, easy. HOWEVER: will have to adjust your needle bearing/packing to compensate for the thinner needle as otherwise you will get paint into the trigger section. 🚬🥃
