iWave and CycleTIG - Targeted heat input and maximum control over the weld pool.
The function CycleTIG allows you to control the arc, in turn giving you maximum control over heat input. The short welding times make it easy to keep a safe handle on the weld pool. In this video you can see that CycleTIG is also ideally suited for demanding welding tasks such as welding titanium.

Does this function/ability CycleTig avaible on Magicwave 230i, or Transtig230i? Or its only capable on iWave230i?

I am a user Magicwave 230i ac\dc with cycle welding functions installed. I really miss this feature in AC mode! Is it possible to expect AC availability in future software updates as well?

How does CycleTIG compare to the Pulse Pro settings?

@@FroniusWelding How does the CycleTig compare to setting the pulse to a very short on time with a very low background current. This would give you a hard short blast with very low heat input. I have not updated my MagicWave to the latest update with CycleTig.

Hello Crummy! Here the main differences between CycleTIG and Pulse: • CycleTIG is fundamentally based on interval welding or pulse welding, which simplifies and facilitates TIG welding through different parameter combinations. • CycleTIG can be combined with the Pulse and Tacking function: In combination with the Tacking function, an excellent seam optic can be generated. In combination with the Pulse function, additional pulsing can be set in the low- and high-current phases. • CycleTIG allows pulse parameters to be set in absolute values (milliseconds vs. %). • The base current can also be switched off. This is not possible with conventional pulsing. • CycleTIG already starts in the start current phase and ends with the end of the end current phase. Conventional pulsing only starts with the up-slope and ends with the end of the downslope. • The cycles can be freely set and thus the weld and break time can be exactly defined and adhered to. @@FroniusWelding Yes, this does help. I like the milliseconds vs % time. Honestly, when I saw CycleTIG I had hoped it would be where the machine switches between AC/DC during the weld. Maybe on the next big update that will happen.
