Solid review. I don't shoot competition and don't use a C-clamp grip up front. If you compare the Carmel head-to-head with an AR it will fall short because it's not an AR. I enjoy my Carmel for all the differences. That said, I would like to see a beefier barrel and a different design (top hinge?) ejection dust cover. I like this guy because he's not full of himself. Lower the cheek rise piece and it will function flawlessly with stock in the folded position.

Incredible review, professional presentation and information. Finally found a content provider that I can watch, listen to and learn from without feeling sold to, preached to and lied to. Thank you. Respect. Subscribed.

Did you have your recall work done? I noticed that your serial # fell within the recall that IWI put out.

I love mine only a few hundred through it with Lahar 30. A few things I’ve noticed since I only have access to outside range is that it leaks similar to the x95. I’m used the rail girth now and I can’t stand my ar15s now. I wish they made the gas plug with 3-4 settings. I’ve emailed hb industry, manticore and kns but they’re hoping on traction first. If I could buy extra bcg and piston parts it’s definitely a close second my frail and lightweight ar15 :)

Good evening Blessings Greetings from San Carlos Costa Rica... Pura Vida I like that rifle easy to disassemble for cleaning question does it also shoot 223 caliber or not

Is barrel replacement part of the design, ie making it multi caliber optional?
@prepandpress Жыл бұрын
The original design featured quick-change barrels to fulfill a contract requirement. When IWI US took a serious look at building the Carmel, it did not meet accuracy standards. They removed the quick change feature, improved the design of the barrel to receiver interface, added a free-float handguard and now it is an accurate rifle. Short answer- No, but that is a good thing.

I bet hb industry will make stuff like they do for the Bren 2 I kind of want a thicker barrel profile I don’t like how fast it gets hot
@superfamilyallosauridae6505 Жыл бұрын
all lazily designed overweight rifles end up with super thin profile barrels to make them seem lighter than they really are and keep them away from the dreaded feel of "heavy"

Any issues with 62 grain? Tim at military arms channel has issues with 62 grain fed 223

I did shoot 100+ rounds of 62gr. What kind of issues are you asking about?
@pete4633 Жыл бұрын
I’d have to watch MACs review again to be sure. I do recall it was specific to federal 62 grain he couldn’t get them to run/cycle Also, you’re title mentions suppressed. Any issues with a can? Before I drop 1400 I want to really see all the pros and cons Thanks man
@pete4633 Жыл бұрын
I meant piston not suppressed. I’m your review the suppressed setting wouldn’t seat a new round. Interesting. I’d love to see you run a suppressor. If I get this it’s going to be a supressor host but I want to see if there are any issues
@prepandpress Жыл бұрын
No running/cycling issues on 62 gr at all but I didn’t shoot any federal. I did shoot a bunch of federal 55gr and had no issues with that either. Suppressor shooting to come!
