Super duty has been my main squeeze. Ever since I transitioned to the Sig Spear, I'm hooked. Both obviously great rifles. But, the Sig, for me at least has been flawless and fun to shoot.

Solid review. I don't shoot competition and don't use a C-clamp grip up front. If you compare the Carmel head-to-head with an AR it will fall short because it's not an AR. I enjoy my Carmel for all the differences. That said, I would like to see a beefier barrel and a different design (top hinge?) ejection dust cover. I like this guy because he's not full of himself. inside rails steel, 30 and 35 round mags available bolt is steel so it's not really all polymer

I think if the stock were more similar, and, if the SIG had the benefit of the Geissele trigger, the choice would have been much harder to make. Just the trigger alone changes the feel and performance.

4:07 Almost like my man here has no idea what non reciprocating handles do. Also, the hell is with your thumb riding the safety? Wrap that puppy around the grip like you are supposed to. Also, you can adjust the grip forward and backward to fix your thumb reach problem.

It’s $1000 because it’s awesome. Try buying $17 35 round magazines for your P10 C. Think about it, a P10 C is plastic and it costs $400. Probably costs $50 to make. Polymer makes it light. Scorpion is 100% reliable from every video I’ve seen. How much is that worth?

I would go with neither. Both are terrible rifles.

I've been running a mostly stock m&p sport 2 for my three gun only change I've made is adjustable gas block and a better comp/brake. I wanna get that almost zero recoil do you have any suggested reading or ideas on where to start I'm new to tuning and loved your video.

That "take up" is called a Two Stage Trigger. There is no take up between resetting.

I love mine only a few hundred through it with Lahar 30. A few things I’ve noticed since I only have access to outside range is that it leaks similar to the x95. I’m used the rail girth now and I can’t stand my ar15s now. I wish they made the gas plug with 3-4 settings. I’ve emailed hb industry, manticore and kns but they’re hoping on traction first. If I could buy extra bcg and piston parts it’s definitely a close second my frail and lightweight ar15 :)

Sig has terrible quality control. Geissele is and probably always will be better quality. Special operations get to choose their rifles. I’m curious in any units are actually running these, or if they just “have them” for contract purposes.

The ar15 makes more sense for 2nd amendment purposes. You're going to want something where you can more easily source parts when society falls apart or if there's a civil war, etc.

Best ar under a grand by a long shot followed by the psa Sabre the psa has fn barrel but iwi makes solid rifles. My next purchase will be the iwi tavor. My colt m4 carbine shoots just as good as any other one out there including my larue which is about as good as you can get and I’d put the Zion right around the colt. If you can’t afford the Zion or psa buy a radical I have one as my range toy and it’s very reliable durable and accurate.

I am thinking about getting a SD. I own a Spear LT. My LT is a 5-6 MOA firearm that does not like to get dirty and does not like cold weather. It has to go back to sig for repair. The only Sigs that I have not had to return to sig has been my P226 and MPX. Trend.

Max has some excellent suggestions. Jeff - Your remark at 52.48 about "flagging" at the Rocky Mountain 3 Gun was incorrect. Having been on the staff there I do not recall you shooting it for the last 20 years. (i have CRO/RO'd multiple 3 Gun/ 2 Gun matches across the country. Also worked Max's first 2 Gun down in St. George, UT) Approximately 12+ years ago the 3 Gun Match Directors tried to make one set of rules. Ended up a BIG argument/shouting match and USPSA coined the name "Outlaw Matches" for everyone but them.

Timney, Elf, and Tooth & Nail, all make excellent triggers for the VR80. JP enterprises has anti walkout pins for next to nothing. There are several other great upgrades available. Plus it fits any magpul beaver tailed hand grip perfectly and any commercial spec AR stock. There is also a cheap adapter piece to switch out the stock for AR mil spec. This thing is an amazing shotgun. Follow the owners manual and don't load low velocity shells for the first at least 50 rounds. I never had an issue but many people do. It just has a break in period like countless other platforms. I just never load anything under 1350 velocity and I have never once had a single issue. It comes with 5 round mags but they also have 9 and 20 round ones. The 20 looks a little silly but the 9 is a good in between size.
