The only difference between the CA and NY version of this rifle is the CA Tavor has an 18.5 inch barrel and it can be threaded

Is the grip fin attached to the frame of the gun at all or is it just a clam shell fit? Wondering if there are any tabs that the screws secure to?

The fin is like clamshell that clamps around the grip and then they got the rivets the hold it together.

Theoretically, could you bore out those rivets and replace them with screws? Or would that be a nono in new york

@@GlorifiedGremlin that would be a big no no in any state that requires modifications on weapons to make them legal. Since the use of the fin is meant to be “non-removable” the ability to remove the fin, even if it is attached would make if a felony

Hopefully the supreme court will deem the fin requirement unconstitutional in CA and NY, along with the 10 mag limit…but I doubt it.
