DPS Showdown! Who's the STRONGEST Standard Banner Character? Tighnari vs Diluc vs Keqing

I figured I'd clarify my thought process on Diluc's Abyss run. I've received many complaints about how Diluc's subdps Xingqiu wasn't built properly in the past. So this time, I built his new best in slot subdps option, Yelan, properly. To NOT use Yelan with Diluc is to not properly play Diluc when you have her as an option. However, when speedrunning, my **sole objective** is to complete it as FAST as possible. Everytime I tried using Diluc, he would add 1-4 seconds onto each chamber. Intentionally going slower with an optimal team is against the whole point of speedrunning, although it is debatably against the point of a showcase. But I think the end result speaks for itself and shows the state that older characters like Diluc are in, in comparison to their "subdps supports" like Yelan. I get the idea of building supports as much as possible, but that defeats the whole point of "showcasing" Diluc versus the others, doesn't it? The point of a showdown should be to see how much the individual character's damage can be supported, not overshadowed. If it's too hard to do because Yelan or another 'support' is too strong, then just limit the supports to 4-stars. I think it would make for a much more interesting and entertaining showdown.

HERE maybe this will help: 1) Diluc normal attack are really slow (He is a Caymore User) thus you will miss three procs of yelan burst while using them. 2)Diluc Burst is is rather long and add too little dmg considering his speed with vape instead you can use yelan to be present in on field to acquire more energy for her next burst. 3) If you are not going to use Diluc's Burst, with his skill it will take around 4-5 procs for a single vape. Now, if we watch carefully in video, Yelan's 1 proc has three instances of Hydro DMG. One instance is doing MINIMUM 63k dmg. That is like 3*3*63,000=5,67,000(Hydro procs during one diluc normal attack*no of instances in one proc*DMG during single proc) and that is at minimum!!!. Now for Diluc his MAXIMUM is like on 100% pyro infusion with vape is like 44k. Therefore 44,000(Diluc dmg with one normal ATK)+2*63000(Non vape Hydro DMG of Yelan)+2*63000(lets just assume vape does double DMG then Yelan's one instance of vape)=296000k. I mean really without Diluc's involvement Yelan is doing more than DOUBLE DMG when with him at her MINIMUM.

Why can’t you ever show the actual character running the abyss? People watched this video to see Tighnari, Keqing, and Diluc. You do this in a lot of videos too, you will have a team + Raiden and then just use Raiden to clear the whole abyss. No body cares about how fast Raiden or C6 Yelan could clear the abyss, otherwise we would have watched that video instead. If using Diluc on screen makes the run slower, then he makes the run slower. At least that way we know what Diluc is actually capable of. You also say Diluc is the strongest standard banner character under the ideal conditions (having C6 Yelan). But you literally didn’t even use him. So his ideal conditions are to just not use him at all and have him take up a character slot for no reason.

Showcase characters on-field time, timed and averaged. Averaging is due to watching each individual run 5 times, my timer skills aren't perfect after all. -Tighnari: 19.7 seconds -Keqing: 22.8 seconds before others finish, 28~ seconds overall -Diluc: 1.1 seconds While I understand you wanting to be as optimal as possible, that would be like claiming to do an Abyss speedrun with level one Aloy and then using her NA once before switching to a hypermeta comp+aloy flex slot. My point is, Keqing is also relatively suboptimal, and she recieved roughly 20 times the on field time. We'd much rather see a DPS showcase using the character advertised as opposed to a c6 Yelan showcase, even if Diluc will in fact be slower. He's the original Pyro dps, of course he's going to be slower than a recently buffed electro unit or Dendro Ganyu. Love your videos nonetheless, keep up the good work!

the difference is that keqing's supports in this video doesnt require much field time... so the free field time window goes to keqing who needs it... on diluc's team however, both yelan and diluc, at c6, have to be on field to fully utilize their kits... keqing isnt suboptimal there... she fills in the time when no one needs to be on field so its a positive increase in team damage compared to not having her at all... diluc on the other hand, even at c6, is worse than his supports at dishing out damage while also requiring field time... i dont understand the need to be upset over a whale c6 team showcase since its unaffordable to most players.... if you have the money to have c6 characters, you objectively wouldnt want to use diluc either.

@Laurent Disagree with the Tighnari comp, and while true for the others, it's a damage showcase for Diluc, Keqing, and Al-Tighnari, not a support showcase. Speedrunning it with top tier c6 supports who don't need another character to be a main dps completely annihilates any reason to call it a dps showcase. That was my point. Less than 1% of the abyss showcase included the actual character (Diluc) supposedly being showcased, which is an issue.

Adding a “f2p achievable” team DPS showdown portion would be ideal, where they can only use 4 star weapons and 4 star supports at c6. It also would mean that c6 r5 yelan is off the table

this reminds me of the itto vs eula vs xiao showcase where you couldnt justify xiao's slow times and made him a raiden support when that is not at all his intended usage. if this video was meant to be any sort of insight on diluc's viability as a standard banner unit, there should have been no issue showing off the best he is capable of doing even if it hurt your speedrunner soul. i don't like or care for or play diluc, but if the only point of that abyss showcase was to give reasons WHY you shouldnt use diluc then this video shouldnt have been a showcase for him at all. if a character genuinely sucks or is powercrept, so be it, but there is no reason to NOT show that in the video who's intention is to show the comparison in the first place.

@@NWILS-uc1ju IIRC, that Abyss have 2-boss monster chambers that you need to burst 1 down then the next as quickly as possible, and that team worked really fine. The problem is he speedruns the Abyss part rather than showcasing the character as the main driver. And I get the idea of utilizing each of every ounce of the "supporting" character to optimize the run, since in actuality Raiden is the best partner for Eula on all of the possible team comps. It's just feel disingenuous that the video is about A vs. B (vs. C) showdown until the Spiral Abyss part.

exactly, it should have been the speed running potential of the c6 STANDARD banner units. Ofc using the entirety of c6 Yelan's kit is gonna outclear the other two, that shouldn't be the point. Getting a standard banner character to c6 is getting more and more likely for F2P and Low spenders by the day. The time required for Yae's set up alone may skew the numbers more in Fischl's favor even though scaling's would be higher with a c6 5 star toon naturally. The 2 extra seconds that it would take on average to get yae's skill out comparatively to fischl's oz may give Fischl teams a faster time to kill on most targets which is overall more important then consistent prolonged dps in this game. I think for the abyss 12 run, you should use their most optimal teams with f2p builds, or use their best 4 star supports and avoid 5 stars that benefit too much from cons. That way it won't become a sub dps showcase like it did here. Getting the fastest speed is less important to people than seeing how the char would realistically perform

Similar to the Itto/xiao/eula showcase where Raiden carried the eula (and I think the xiao one too) abyss run your priorities are out of whack. If speed running is the only thing that matters to you then make a speed running video. In a character showcase their supports are not suppose to take more field time that them. Even if you have c6 Yelan you could have opted not to use her c6 charged attacks to allow diluc to proc her ult as he would with xingxiu. By the logic you used all three teams could've had Yelan on them and gotten similar times. What does that actually tell anyone? What about doing floor-12 speedruns with only 4star supports and free characters (such as Traveler and Aloy)? The "support" c6 5-star characters in your floor12 run are far too strong, such as Yae Miko who dealt more total than Keqing (do I even need to mention Yelan?). People watch these sort of videos to get an idea if they can spend primogems or invest resin in these characters. The optimal 4star supports is a lot more relatable, most people can fill multiple teams with the supports they've built. They won't exactly be true 'speedruns', but they will be 'speedruns featuring character X under relatable conditions', which is far more interesting to most viewers who click on the video based on thumbnail/title.

As someone who didn't initially plan on getting Tighnari, I am so happy to change my decision, he's really fun to use with the quickswap dps playstyle. My Yae has a new favorite playmate. Got lucky with his weapon too.

Great video but man, the results of "Diluc's" DPS showcase in the Abyss were totally unfair, especially since the summary of the results in the end made it look like Tighnari lost to Diluc's clear time in the abyss. It was a Yelan showcase. I think it should've been redone with Diluc as the actual main DPS. I hazard to guess that the time would've been way slower than Tighnari's.

For what it's worth at this point if you're going for optimal conditions for diluc you're better just using c6 R5 Yelan and calling it a day 😭 diluc is great don't get me wrong but because of his rather slow movement and the excessive strength of Yelan it's hard to see what outside of fun and enjoyment would you use diluc

Uh... Wouldn't this mean that it would be better to give Tighnari Diluc's team, since Tighnari can do that final hit faster? That would make Tighnari the fastest in every single thing here, and since C6 is F2P achievable in the long term, that logically makes Tighnari by far the best. But for real, just pull for Yelan and Kazuha. They are insane, and you will get Tighnari with them.

Diluc isn't an optimal speed run character, unlike keqing and tighnari, who does decent sustained-burst dmg with thier charged hits. This was overall a bad comparison. Tighnari >> Keqing > Diluc. (Diluc is still fun to play tho)

Would have been cool to see a comparism at c0, since tighnari constellations are really nice, while keqing/diluc aren't. So it would have made them all much more closer to eachother.
