Major Les Hiddens is an absolute, ridgey didge, true blue Aussie hero. A fascinating man and a real bonzer character, we would say over here. He had a TV series in the 1990s about surviving on bush tucker in the outback, which I believe you can watch on KZbin now. It is defintely worth watching, both for the knowledge and the spectacular scenery like Kakadu in the Northern Territory. His website also has a catalogue of edible plants.

I only meant to agree with catching up not be pushy just mainly mentioned the two parcels which I must acknowledge are very late being sent as part of the content started being put together before start of 2022. I just kept delaying as a total of 5 parcels to three Yuputiber destinations were being prepared. I will, as for my former parcel happily look forward to some future mail unpacking. Barbeque shapes are the bom! the other best Aussie food is TimTams, I hope you have had a chance to try them, and if when you do you have to do the tim tam slam! chew off the opposing corners, suck you hot coffee thru the tim tam like a straw, then quickly pop it into your mouth before it melts and the whole thing melts in your mouth, its a unique expirience ! Chutney goes well on beef or ham sandwhiches

19:07 -- Unlike the honey sold in the U.S. Supermarkets and retail stores is denatured honey from China and made up wit Corn Syrup. What is passed off as commercial honey in the U.S, is mostly garbage. One can find pure honey - if one has connections with Bee Keepers - however it is difficult. Unfortunately the U.S. has very low food standards compared to Australia and New Zealand

Chutney can be used with meat ,cold meat , cheese and crackers ,ham sandwiches 🥪 but not really for soup. Too sweet. Great with a sharp vintage cheese.

I’d go to Australia right this second if I could… for one it wasn’t that easy to travel a year ago for anyone wanting to go there… Remember? And yea of course any KZbinr makes money but if you think we are millionaires or something you need a reality check. Life is expensive enough already and it would cost thousands upon thousands to get myself, my wife, and my kids on a 18 hour flight to Australia 🇦🇺… then factor in staying somewhere every night and food and travel costs. What if Pedro wanted to come too? Let me tell ya, that colossal flight ain’t happening with my kids and my wife being pregnant… this would take A LOT of planning and my top priority is my kids and Wife being safe and comfortable. I want nothing more than to go to Australia, see the beautiful sights and land, meet so many beautiful people that have impacted our life and taught us so much. I have confidence it will happen someday, I just don’t know when exactly, but it won’t be easy. I’m sorry but all I can do is laugh 😂 if you think our whole family is fake. I live and breathe Australia around everyone I know because I love it and I’m thankful for all of our amazing community here. And I donate lots of our food from Mailtime to those in need and family that’s on rough times, i don’t film it every time like every other KZbinr because that’s tacky.
