If this is your first, or one of your first times, you did this type of tour, you did a great job! Tips - I wish I could have seen that pantry you almost showed us. 😄 I would have liked to have seen if they were shelves or pull out drawers. And we didn't get to see the half bath sink & mirror. The camera was just focused on you sitting on the toilet. 😂

I watch a lot of Renegade videos hoping I can acquire one. Have always wondered about the dining table size. This is the first time it’s been explained. The 4 person table in a 38 would be my choice

I’m going go out on a limb and say that Chuck would not let Ben just record a bunch of KZbin videos unless he was completely confidence in Ben’s ability to make quality videos just as well if not better than he did. I enjoyed like every one else over the last ten years watching Chucks videos. He’s truly like family, so what I don’t understand why people on here want to get on here and jaw jack about they can’t get through a video because Chuck is not doing the video. Really, cmon. Give the poor kid a chance. I think he did a good job. After all he’s not been doing it for ten years. Give him some time to find his rhythm. I know when I first started my career in law enforcement I was so out of my element. Then I woke up one day a grumpy old guy and retired. Don’t be that guy. Let’s get behind Ben and wish him the best. Definitely on my bucket list.

I think you did a great job and I feel so much more informed. I’ve never owned an RV so the details in this video are very valuable. I have a Sprinter Van and I’m ready to upgrade. This video certainly helps me with my decision. For us lucky folks in CA what kind of hoops will I have to go through if I buy this RV after 1.1.25? Thanks again, job well done!!

I don't understand the point of building a diesel puller with 1 axle. I thought the whole point here was payload and towing capacity. You might as well buy a regular pusher style RV.

Great video and amazing RV. However, after 20 years in the Navy, I cannot deal with the battleship grey paint job. I am curious, with all the tanks and generator on the driver's side, does that have any effect on the handling when you drive it? Next, if my batteries are fully charged, how long (in hours) would they be useful if I am running a single AC, 1 TV and basic appliances? One hour or 8 hours?

I was just told you can no longer get an Explorer with the Allison trans. DT12 only. For 26 too. Have you heard that too?

Lithium batteries have 7-10 times the battery life at half the weight and double the usable power. Think of amp hours (or better - Watt hours ->volts x amp-hour) as the fuel in the tank. The Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries provide double the amount of usable fuel (99% depth of discharge versus 50% for an AGM) in the same size but half the weight of an AGM battery. Now also consider the Dragonfly batteries can be cycled (discharged) 3500-5000 times versus an AGM @ 500 times.

Lithium batteries on this model should be standard
@RWofWA2 ай бұрын
We went lithium on our small tow behind and wow what a game changer it has been. I am not constantly worrying about battery life now. I agree that lithium should be standard. The problems with early lithium seem to be forgotten history with these new batteries

Even if the manufacturer claims the engine and chassis are designed to go 1M miles, there are some pretty big caveats to that claim. The first one is the owner is expected to maintain this truck during that lifetime. The costs associated with servicing and maintaining something like this will blow the minds of many that know nothing about heavy duty trucks. In 10 years, expect to pay at least $50,000 in repairs and maintenance to keep this on the road after the warranty expires. Even driving light miles. Components like Alternators, A/C Compressors, Engine batteries, Brakes, oil changes, Tires, Belts, filters, relentless and ongoing DEF/emission repairs and all the systems inside as well that will need attention. If you are going to garage keep and pamper this truck with a few thousand miles per year you might get lucky and pay less for all of that. If you are going to pound the miles yearly and use it, be prepared, you'll need to pay to keep it on the road. Diesel labor rates are $180-$200/hour, oil/filter changes are $500 - $800 for synthetic. Cleaning your DEF filter is $1500 every few hundred thousand miles. 6 tires are $2000-$3000. If you breakdown, don't expect a dealer to drop what they are doing just for you. They are servicing Commercial trucks from huge companies that are paying them for priority service to get their driver back on the road to deliver freight. Just do your own due diligence before taking the plunge is what I am saying. These are all wonderful brand new and mostly trouble free for several years while under warranty. Just don't expect to be going a million miles on paying for the coach, the insurance on it, and the fuel only. Doesn't work like that.
@regmcguire5582Ай бұрын
Several people driving HDT’s have covered this. Most of them find maintenance far less that a one ton pickup. They drive way less miles than a commercial driver with only light loads. Annual oil change, some tires at times, bette4 because the truck is so lightly loaded.

I’m truly not trying to be rude, but please bring back the old man doing the videos. The majority of us that are looking at these are older people and this kid just doesn’t work for me. I’m sure he’s a great person, but I have never once been able to get through one of his videos even when you’ve had the rigs. I have wanted to see the most. I just can’t get through it.

This Renegade model is boring. There’s not much character. Even if the buyer redo backsplash, flooring and the ceiling tiles, this model is still basic.

A video that’s over an hour long and didn’t even cover half the items that is covered in a video half the length. Talked about exterior storage but didn’t cover it except the storage already used what about the extra storage, what about the a\c units where are they how are they ducted. I felt it had a lot of talk but very little show.
