This is the sound I most strongly associate with the game... that intense pressure and the worry about whether it'll get alright... resources dwindling as the unmined astroids get farther and farther away... the ghosts of a thousand unopened pods haunting the sectors... and then this horrifying ambience

yep.. the other tracks in the OST give off a chill space exploration vibe, but this track sums up what the game actually feels like the horror of going system to system seeing only destruction and desolation.. you might have survived, but was it worth it?

I agree with the Homeworld influence in this particular piece, but in all honesty, this particular one is a league of its own in comparison. Regardless, it's still so good.

I laughed when I got the population level 2 achievement. no way is that ever relevant in a real playthrough. integrity destroying hull temples in every sector - another ridiculous one
