Whenever we face a challenge, difficulty or upset in life it is a sign that there is some work we need to do. The challenge is figuring out WHAT we need to do and HOW to do it so that we get the resolution we desire. Some of us have no clue about what needs to be done. Others know what needs to be done but now how to get it done. Then, there are those occasions when we know what to do, how to do and . . . we still don't do it. The work we must all do requires that we Begin Within! Any difficulty we face in life is a manifestation of an imbalance, dysfunction or breakdown within our mind or heart. I love Iyanla! A lot of times people are living other's expectations and against their real values, hence depression, procrastination, etc. I find most women's motivation for losing weight is for the purpose of looking more attractive to men, not for themselves, if it was something they really wanted to do for themselves they wouldn't have such a hard time.

Good Lord Yes!!! It's YOUR life. Once I decided I no longer cared for parents or siblings thoughts or opinions they did stop for the most part speaking to me BUT I was OK with that. I wore myself out looking for approval. Whatever I did was never good enough, criticism & told I'm crazy. I finally had enough of my tears, anger, upset & trying to prove myself. Approval would never come un I ess I agreed. with them and lived how they think I should. Don't waste your life. I don't care how close they are. They will never be closer than you are to you!

I want to raise my hand belatedly for making one or two bad choices! I really felt for your second guest, saying goodbye to such a young baby is not easy. But she taught her something during those precious ten weeks, and she will know when some of the pain is gone. Maybe it was that life is precious and that she should not waste hers in the situation she was in then. Losing everything you held onto for so long means that you need to learn to let go, and that something else is more important and needs to be cleared. I just experienced that last year, and it was not easy. But after I made that tough decision I learned that I did not drop dead like I feared. And now I am open to new opportunities.

I think my mom is not ready to do the work. She always distracts herself when I speak truth and hops into her life then go back to the negativity about everything. 💡 I now realize I am near-constantly trying to prove my value, in the lives of others and on Earth. (Personal and humanitarian) Why do I care; why do I need external validation? Because throughout my life, at least since age 4, I have been taught and shown that if I am disagreeable, if I am too independent, if I make any mistakes or poor choices… I will be left alone. I will not be embraced, but moreover I will be ridiculed, neglected, and in my youth disowned. I don’t truly know unconditional love. Allegedly, it is my soul’s spiritual journey to learn complete autonomy in this physical lifetime, but don’t we all need support of some kind? Some external consistency? I am learning to live without it, but it doesn’t make it any less painful or difficult. Particularly with family. I learned not to need or to trust family, but to feel it manifest in my personal chosen relationships is overwhelming, to put it mildly. This journey is arduous, and I am committed to it no matter the path, but it seems and feels very contradictory from who I am in my core, my heart, soul, and spirit. It is heartbreaking. 💔 Really, it can be spirit-darkening, and it is soul-wrenching.
