This is an interview that really places value of education in arts and arts management. Issues are well articulated and analysed. Talent is not necessarily success like you always success; 'chero ukaridza gitare rikabuda hutsi' like you always say. This interview is loaded with knowledge. Infotainment and edutainment were brought to the fore. This man knows the arts. Enkosi Mono and IYASA.

Very much liked the discussion on standards. That has killed many artists. One important fact is artists are literally adrenaline junkies, once on stage they morph into a a different form. In our culture vanenge vasutswa. They get into character and the character takes over.
@philkandengwa18 күн бұрын
Insightful IYASA has stood the test if time just from the conversations here well articulated, the proof is for all to see why. These are the leaders we need to push the srts industry, to take Zimbabwean art global. Artists need to attend art schools/workshops to learn how become international because currently we are doing the opposite of whats required to succeed as an interna artist. We are still trying to sell ice to the Eskimos. Especially the radio stations they are so mentally colonised they love everything foreign.

I have said this before; if I were the President of Zimbabwe & was picking members of my Cabinet, without a doubt Mono would be my Minister of Sport, Arts & Culture. What you doing for Arts & Culture in particular is not going unnoticed by progressive Zimbabweans. I personally have not seen anything progressive to the promotion & preservation of the Arts from the incumbent minister, Kirsty Coventry unfortunately.
