It is very nice you made your own comfortable long hook thumb rings for warbows. But be careful because material might not be so strong for your Tiron. Also you should watch for any strain on the wrist which might lead to long term pain which is not much but uncomfortable in the long term.

thanks. yes, male style thumb ring saves my thumb for sure. this is resin mix and i have tested on my bow that's about 110#. so far, no cracks or anything. plastic thumb ring you can get in the market, some of them can break if you pull over 70# so be aware. also thanks for the concern. i am being careful and checking myself each session. :)

do you know where to buy wood arrows for high poundage bows? would wood manchu bows for a 100 pound bow exist?
@iyoo18 ай бұрын
i don't. i'm sure you can get medieval war bow arrows online. for me i like Alibow's manchu arrows i get. heavy enough (1438 grains) and stiff (100 spine). also 34 to 35" long. ^_^

I have a 60 lbs recurve. It made my middle finger go numb for a month. Switched to a D-loop and trigger release. It performs well even though people say it's supposed to be for compound bows. I have to change the D-loop every 200 shots or so, but my finger isn't numb anymore. I'm wondering how your fingers are doing with drawing that bow?
@iyoo14 ай бұрын
fingers definitely hurt. if i use my ring it can help but that is still not strong enough. if you are shooting 60 lbs recurve you should be ok with some gloves or finger tabs. changing D loops for traditional bows seems a bit new to me. ^_^;;

Thx for the video! I managed to string my 140# @ 28" tiron. I need to get much stronger though to pull it fully :P Current target is my H1 heavy 110# @28" from Alibow. Can draw it up to 24" at the moment :P
