Hi Saket, for a question related to how to monitor the health of the project. The scrum master can use various metrics to observe the health of the ongoing project. For example, Defect density, defect leakages, code review effectiveness, schedule variance, cost variance, task completion ratios. Monitoring these parameters helps us to give enlarge view of any problems occurring and effective RCA with team will help to resolve these issues. In addition, you can keep initial benchmark values for metrics and gradually tighten these parameters with time.

Good to hear it. I was quite on target. I gave 2 hours interview to a typical desi, it started from Technology QnA (all my mentioned technical skill sets - he was googling them) and then went into Project mgmt. Majority of what you guys discussed is what I explained. The Feedback he gave me is, you are too technical and give too detailed explanation. Based this session I think, either the guy was clueless to fit me or he had someone else to be onboarded. Lesson learnt: Some people take interview for time pass or to improve their won knowledge. Appreciate your feedback.

Hi Manish, I feel your frustration as I've been in the same boat and so have many of my friends. Typical desis will be very pleasing and submissive to goras but when it comes to interviewing another desi, they want to come on top, trying to showcase they know more and have a condescending attitude.

Very helpful. One the Capacity Planning part, where it was told to add more people who were just released from other sprint, i found we could have brought in the cost associated with them and without the stakeholders approval it is not possible. In fact, new members might be distorting the team dynamics.

Amazing video Saket. In reponse to one of the questions about resource constraint, you suggested documenting this as a risk and bringing it to the attention of stakeholders for a risk assessment. Just want to add that for such constraints, automation may also be looked at as a mitigation strategy.

Awesome. Really helpful. I was asked a team size question in multiple interviews. Please help me out. Question is "How to determine team size (exact count ) during start of project when user stories are not provided by client yet?"
@izenbridge
@izenbridge 2 жыл бұрын
Its usually based on rough order of estimate of effort and budget available, this is also usually case in non agile projects also, many time we estimate the team size well before listing the requirements.

Nowadays during interview people want to use agile with cost and schedule baseline of waterfall... PM is very subjective domain... The best fit answer for any question changes from domain to domain... I have been through an interview where interviewer asked situation based question and then countered my answer with long term stategy decisions unrelated to context of question... It is very difficult to gauge what is going on in an interviewer mind and what exactly he wants to listen...

Thanks Sanket for you videos. I got question from one the interview like "Who is your priority - Client or Process? " My answer is process. if we follow the process then client will satisfy the deliverables. Is my answer is correct?
@izenbridge
@izenbridge 3 жыл бұрын
I may start by saying, for me the goal of the process is to serve the client in a better and sustainable way. So if we find some processes are not adding value for a client we need to see what value they add? Something on same line we spoke in this video : kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGqpiWapfriJntU

I hope these questions are helpful to the candidate who can appear in scrum master interview.

Share it with respective people about the estimate and basis of estimate. In Project management, estimations needs to be done again and again so we know where are we and how much more time it will take, when we know this we can find some options.

@izenbridge
@izenbridge 2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if many frameworks define the term Release Management Team well, in SAFe we do have a meeting to explore possible Releases and their Management. In general, an organization need to define the group that understand the business needs and make a decision on the release of the features which are ready for release.

Hi Saket, In my recent interview I had been asked by interviewer... The Q. What will you think or do when you find that there is a team member who is efficiently working in the team thats why most of the tasks reach to that particular member and even sometime he even ends up doing most of the sprint's work ...Do you think its right or what you will do in this scenario
@izenbridge
@izenbridge 2 жыл бұрын
Its risky, because it is creating single point of failure, if this guy fails full team fails, so as leader i need to see how i resolve it, i may ensure others are trained well, i ensure rather than this guy doing the work he use his skills to teach and mentor others so they do work.

@vishalkundagol3536
@vishalkundagol3536 2 жыл бұрын
You can keep a conference call on skype, Risk are of mostly 2 types positive impact and negative, postive impact called as opportunities and negative impact as threats Opportunities like the risk which are already pre defined, and it has solution documented. And for threats you have to find the solution.

I have one question on a situation : Suppose I have a story of 5 story points in current sprint, due to some reason ( blocker) I am able to burn only 3 and 2 are pending, ideally story is a spil over to next sprint, but is whole story spilling over to next sprint ? 5 points is not correct, it should be 2, how to manage this situation ?
@izenbridge
@izenbridge 5 ай бұрын
It depends on the value of work done, if that part of work is testable and can meet DoD, it is good to spilt the story with splitting of story points as well. So its a negotiation between PO and Team.

Hi Sir, If a person working in Pharma industry for Product development project-On Project management role, and, want shift to industry like IT or Healthcare those support pharma business or having some sort of linkage with Pharma industry. What should be the approaches to shift the industry even after doing PMP, Prince2? I found that, they take interview and end up with feedback that we are looking for IT/Healthcare person who has worked already in this domain PM. I'm working in Pharma R&D PM role since 10 years but surprised to know that why other industries are rigid in nature to hire pharma PMs to IT or other domain even though i saw people are welcomed from IT or other industry to Pharma for PM role on good salary.
