I find that placing half blocks to set sledge turret on helps to throw zombies farther away and can drastically lower the chances of setting off a demo zombie

Such an elevated sledge does more damage, because it gets more head hits. If you're worried about demos, you should do the opposite, though: Put plates on the path of the zombies, so they're slightly above the sledge. It will never hit the button from "below".

Good news: Since you can access turrets through the scaffold ladders, you can just set up two powered turrets and reload them during the night without picking them up. That way, you won't have to worry about not being able to put them back down. Just unlock them before reloading.

A bad place to put dew collectors are inside those empty lots that have names such as the 'pay lake' one - because those do spawn in boss-type zombies like cops and they'll puke at you when you go to collect the water. There's one that has a single combine in the field and that one spawns cops for sure.

i think at rank 4 or 5 you should be able to designate targets for turrets. set sledge to target strongest first and guns to not target demos etc.

Ok, so as usual, i like the content here ! Just a friendly reminder that intellect on horde night can be devastatingly good and stupidly overpowered : you can ONLY get two turrets active AT THE SAME TIME... It reeeeaaally is a shame that an unloaded turret turn inactive... Wait a minute ! I can place 8 loaded turret at my base and let them relay each other without needing to reload ! Edit: Work SMARTER, not harder ! (I too, can make bad jokes ^^)

Alternatively, you can make a little wider fighting position and just stay close to the two turret you want to be active at a time.

Another game that is in the survival horror genre that you might like it’s called ”isle”. It is a Roblox game of all things. The basic premise is that you spawn in on an island after a crash, and you are a prisoner being hunted, you have five days to escape before hurricane overtakes the island and you die. There are a lot of things that happen along the way and the gun play is slow, but also entirely unique, it’s almost reminiscent of text adventures

Don't know if it still works in the current build. But I want to say if you put the robot turrets one block below or above the path the zombies takes it really lowers the chance to set off demos. more so if you install the shotgun choke mod

You think doing 7 quests... is faster...than just buying them? Not to mention the maximum amount of water filters you can get from quest rewards is 10, and that's assuming you take 2 from your first trader, which you'd have to be a dumbass to waste a day 2-3 T1 completion on that. I dislike the comments section some times.

Loving the series thus far. I went the Spear route same settings, but at night I do feral sense. Course I am running some modlets created by myself and Donovan to help with the grind and a few QoL improvements. I put my turrts off to the side, the non demo button side, behind a goofy looking screen so they can only shoot the zombies from their right side, I haven't had any demos in hordes yet but I think it will be ok going by the aiming beams always going for headshots.

The mods for these turrets is crazy, I’ve tried a few the best was you can use 20 turrets at a time. They hold 6000 ammo each and don’t deteriorate :)

I think darkness falls mod allows 3 turrets when maxed, which can handle 25 bikers at once easily, of course there are worst zombies than bikers in DF. your feeding either your guns or turrets, choose your poison. however, turrets usually dont need gun powder though. great video as usual.

Int is pretty insane XD Love my turrets and drones. Never had the drone issue we saw in the last series, but the last map and update were super fuqn scuffed. Should have been fixed by now.

As long as you have your dew collectors set up so there's spaces left in between them, zombies should leave them alone. The only time they beat on blocks is if they get hung up on something - like they don't fit between street signs and utility poles and they beat on them. I've never seen any swing at a dew collector yet. You have to watch for cops puking at you and nailing a dew collector.

I really hope they fix the learn by reading system for multiplayer. You either let one person take all the magazines or you just progress at half the speed. Either way sucks, if you’re partied, magazines should just go to the whole party within a certain radius like xp is shared

I like to place down as many junk turrets as I can that way you don’t have to worry about reloading as often and it keeps a continuous amount of fire on the enemy 👍

A max modded Auger is 2-3 times better than using manual tools if you have nothing invested in Miner 69'er and crappy tools, but at a risk. The Auger used to be barely better than steel tools at max Miner 69'er. With the new changes to the Iron Breaker working on Lead and Bunker Buster working on Nitrate/Coal/Oil Shale the Auger is now 50% worse than steel tools with max Miner 69'er. A level 5 Steel Pickaxe can 1 shot all nodes with a normal swing and the right mods. Add max Motherload, Coffee, and Hackers to the mix and you can mine 3-4 stacks of anything in just a few mins.

I have never really had an issue with turrets hitting demos if they are placed on a one block platform You may wish to test that for yourself

Kinda wanted to see the actual mining footage. Without all those points maxing your mining skills I was wondering how much harder it would be to use steel tools efficiently compared to your testing video. Non-strength builds feel like exactly who motor tools were meant for.

Honestly the more I watch your playthroughs the sadder I find it that you don't do any of the overhauls that actually change the gameplay and add extra difficulty. I'm not gonna bug you for an actual playthrough but would you consider a poll? Like just asking the subs if they would like to see you in an overhaul mod of your choosing, if they would rather you stayed vanilla, and why not add an "I don't care I just want content" option just for lolls? XD

Normal attack is better cause of the Dismemberment chances and the insta kill chance in my opinion but you can also make a point in using power attack cause you regenerate some stamina when you get kills and can recharge the stun effect faster (if you have the correct book volume)

Just a heads up for anyone with the drone.. DO NOT LEAVE IT EVEN WHEN THEY GET STUCK.. I did and now I had to delete my save 100+ hours, if you leave them and quit game, the game will glitch out and your frames will go from 100 to 2 when you enter certain chunks and there is no way to fix it. I tried to find my drone but it somehow glitched and was in the No zone out of map. Just wanted to help and hope this does not happen to anyone else

I've had playthrus where I used a level 6 stone axe well into late game because you can fix it with a rock. I didn't have the resources to keep iron/steel tools in good repair.

You say there isn't a gun in the intellect tree but the turret is too overpowered to be a gun you put it down and stand your ground you can take out a hoard of zombies and without risking anything you can basically have a brain dead build that to a pro is very cheese based and as long as you are not overwhelmed in to many areas and can't get your dps high and stuns you are is a rough position where you might have to run and with the stun baton that's pretty easy and you don't need heavy armor since you don't get hit with your stuns and you heal is very cheap so you can play more risky as long as you don't save your meds and heal as fast as possible and you have a combat build where you get supporting fire by your main gun while using melee so your dps is high
