If you put points in lockpicking, it gives extra forge ahead books, that is, until the 15th book. So, if he saves them, he can use the boost in books and maybe use the nerd outfit to speed up the process. The vehicle books don't have a boost like lockpicking. However, he can still use the nerd outfit to reduce the number of books he needs
