Hello !Thank you so much for this explosive deck! I replaced the Ledger Shredder with Brazen Borrower and cut a Force of Negation for a Fire & Ice. This last card is too good and cheap not to play it: Tempo power! moreover I played this version all afternoon and the Fire is great against the Seasoned Pyromancer (returned from the Graveyard). Against games based on Atraxa/Goryo/cookbook you are amazing! I plan to play this deck in the next major tournament that I will participate in. I will continue to practice with this deck to see what are the most important flaws in the deck, but no one comes back from a turn 2 Fury 4/4 + Ragavan Dash! :D :p THANKS A LOT AGAIN !

I'd probably cut the Ledger Shredder's, cause the deck is reactive and it doesn't trigger very often. Maybe Brazen Borrower could fit better, because you can flash it at the end of turn (and having the adventure is always a safe option to bounce back threats and remove tokens). Good games, the deck is interesting! I've been trying a UB Scam for the last months and it's also very fun to play:)

Agreed with Shredder opinion, but borrower ask much more mana while presenting a very bad threat. If the goal is a reactive threats, there's both new and old cards which match criteria better. Faerie Mastermind and Snapcaster Mage to name some. Sure, the ones I talk have less attack, but can impact the board with much more ease, even with a looming teferi on the stack. This planeswalker being the most important ard to respond as a reactive deck is not an hyperbole, and borrower does nothing worth on that assumption.

Ledger Shredders are most useful for blocking. You're never grow it to do real damage, it does have high toughness, flying, it slowly grows. One of the best flying walls in modern that even offers some card selection. But it's just not very good unless it's for Murktide.

first of all, good to having you back mate. second, the only thing i would probably change is the 4 shredders...you have a lot of grave that you dont use, and i think is a waste.. i would probably run 2 snapcaster(for more blink effects) and 2 murktides

Great video! Super tight gameplay. Were you playing around something when playing against the indomitable creativity deck when you pitch cast the fury pitching bolt instead of fire/ice? Don’t think it really would have mattered but you could have had one more mana open if you used the bolt instead and I’m not sure if I’m missing something

Love this deck, but agree with other comments. -4 ledger shredder +1 island (no mishra, no consider) +1 fire // ice (evoke need) +2 seasoned pyro (draw with empty hand after our 2 for 1 spells) Sideboard: -2 seasoned pyro (already main) +2 chalice of the void (always useful) -2 change the equation +2 dress down (hammer and even sinergy with our elementals)

Okay serious question, I like modern and I have a modern mill deck. I have been thinking about getting rid of it for a pioneer deck. But seeing this deck makes me want to build and play it lol. Do you think modern or pioneer is a better format to play?

i think it really comes to preference. modern will always be a bit more pricey, but is definitely the most popular format. when it comes to paper magic, if you only have one choice, id say whatever you think you're gonna have fun with most and whatever people around you play the most

Against creativity I would board out the lightning bolts over the fire ice. Fire ice is an evoke target for 12 cards, and can stall mana and deal with multiple 1/1 tokens. Lightning bolt on the other hand is inflexible imo. It can deal with a singular token, and doesn’t kill Wrenn and six/3feri unless the opponent minuses, which is only likely with 3feri, but at that point, you probably can just attack it with a creature.

Sadly I couldn't fit rings into this deck, but i think Lorien Revealed is still nuts for us. It's good for the same reasons it's good in murktide but even moreso here. I'm also experimenting with an aggressive mainboard moon list that tries to further abuse the islandcycle.

The mono-red deck is best, IMO, when it's got Obosh companion. Obosh is the best still-legal companion in the format, and it gives you a great guaranteed curve topper. You miss out on Shatterskull Smashing and Mazemind Tome, but those aren't huge losses. The core of the deck is all odd MV - Ragavan, Bolt, Flame Slash, SPyro, Fable, Fury, Blood Moon, Relic. Spikefield Hazard is solid and Bonecrusher Giant makes for a good curve filler as it gives you something to do on 2.

what about one or 2 copies of gemstone caverns in case you are not the starting player, that way you can subtelty the first creature spell of the opponent and keep it with slip out the back (let's say they're playing ragavan or trying to scam you) ?

@@johnc5538 i beg to differ about fury. But even so, the fact that scaming a subtlety isnt actually that good is a big part of this. Both fury and grief have massive impacts on the game when scammed. Im not even saying this deck isnt good/neato. Getting to play expressive iteration in a scam style deck is super sick. I just dont think this is better than just playing murktide or rakdos scam

The fact is, you get to really stun the opponent with force and subtlety while still putting pressure on the board, I think grief is awesome but discard is at such an all time low in modern in recent years. This deck is like a control/tempo strat. It’s not about the interactions, it’s about stunning your op and then keeping a 4/4 flyer in play that you then can hold up counterspells. There’s too much “fingers crossed” gameplay in scam for me, and for murktide, I think it’s too mana hungry for tempo and if your murktide gets answered you are in a bad spot. Played a lot of murktide, not a lot of scam, but I’ve never really been afraid of it when on the other side of the table. This deck seems like it’s a better murktide than it is a better scam. Whatcha think

I see what you are saying, but i feel like murktide is an incredibly flexible set of cards that can be built to be more tempo or more control, without having to play cards like slip or flux which can get stuck in your hand just as easy as they do in rb scam (if not easier).

I like the deck and video, but hate you so much right now. This is literally the deck I'm working on in paper. 🤣 Almost card for card. I have Abrade in the SB. You don't need all 4 slots for the Incarnation deck. I find Abrade to do quite well when extra removal is necessary and also subs in for artifact destruction in the rare events you need something like that. Also you need a Borrower. 1 is good as a catch all answer.
