Techniques: 1 - brain dump. For five minutes or so, just get all of your thoughts and feelings down. Don’t censor yourself. 2 - gratitude. Write down a few things you are grateful for - anything - they can be very ordinary. 3 - ask your higher self. Ask a question, and allow your higher self to answer through writing. 4 - bullet journaling - an organization method. No details provided, but she says it’s critical for her. 5 - expressive writing. Similar to the brain dump, perhaps the same thing. She mentions writing about difficult past experiences, with more intentionality to dig into the past. 6 - story worth moment. Each day captured by one line so you create a log that you can look back on significant happenings. 7 - goal setting and manifestation. You are far more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down. 8 - wheel of life. Rate all major areas of your life from 1-10. The categories are: Fun and recreation, physical environment, business/career, finances, personal growth, romance, family and friends, and health. 9 - holistic check-in. Write down how you are feeling, using “I feel” statements. 10 - weekly review. Review the past week, and plan on the upcoming week. Decide on a theme for the week, such as rest, and set a few goals. Tips: keep it minimal in the beginning; set a timer for five minutes; habit stacking with other practices like meditation; choose a beautiful journal and pen. Take action: Pick two things to get started, right now. Personal recommendations: rip apart and throw away your brain dumps and expressive writing, otherwise you will censor yourself in case someone finds it. Loose leaf paper is better than a journal for this. // For story worthy moments, shop for a five year journal. // Keep your journals next to your bed, and consider doing a sleep and dream journal. // Write down your wins at the end of the day.

They did a study that found its not just finding things to list to be grateful everyday, but to change them up so that you SPEND TIME REFLECTING on what to be grateful for.... it is the time reflecting, looking for, things to be grateful for that causes the improved mood, not simply listing what you ought to be grateful for. FEEL the gratitude... SEEK the things daily to be grateful for.

Just an FYI: A gratitude journal entry works best when you fully dive into sharing those things with as much detail as possible. It should be so clear that if another read it, they'd feel like they also experienced it. Creatively detailed. Just making a list doesn't activate the same biological changes, which is the point.

I only keep a common place notebook where i write things i would like to remember, thoughts, advises, fun facts, all that.

What kind of journalling did you try? :) Defo agree, different things work for different people
@rebeccaw96569 ай бұрын
I did this when I first started journaling, I quit after a time. But I picked it up again 6 months later, after learning a better way to journal, that was easier and took less work. This time it stuck… even though there has been stretches of time when I didn’t journal. But I’ve found that 6 years later, having history to go back to when I need to remember a thing, is extremely useful. Journaling is like a muscle that exercise makes better. The more you enjoy going back to look at an event or a memory or notes from a meeting, or tracking emotions around menstruation or WHATEVER… the better you get at disclosing more useful details. And I’ve got to stage where I feel lost when I don’t have my journal. I use it for everything: planning, tasks, journaling thoughts and feelings, things to remember, what I’m up to in a task and what I have to do next when I get back to that task… Just saying, rather than saying That’s that, it’s not for me; allow yourself to find a different way that works for you because it can be very rewarding. Especially as you go through life’s changes.

Dear Dr. Izzy. I just wanted to let you know that your smile is truly a gift from God. You have this incredible ability to use your gaze and your smile as part of the healing process. Even without saying a word, you manage to convey comfort, empathy, and genuine care to your patients, making them feel more than just hospital patients or health plan clients, but rather human beings worthy of love and understanding. Please, whenever you have a little free time, consider donating this wonderful smile to the children who are battling cancer. Your simple gesture can make their day happier and their treatment less painful. Every time you share this gift, you are spreading light and hope in a world that so desperately needs it. I deeply appreciate everything you do, Dr. Izzy. You are an inspiration and a true example of kindness and compassion.

I really hope you find happiness 🖤 And usually the next is better than the ex! I think it's because of the lessons you learn from the ex and the standards you set, so the next one you find will meet all that and be all that and better! That's always been what I noticed at least. So even if you don't get her back, know it WILL get better. This is only just a small part of your life and time does make things easier. It will get better whether it's with her or not. You'll have downs of course because you're human and we all go through good and bad times, but you will find happiness again, it's not over for you. It might feel like that right now but I swear it isn't.

I'm excited to start this in waxing moon energies. When we write our goals in blue ink, they are more likely to be accomplished. Writing in longhand (cursive, but don't curse, only Bliss) grants access to the subconscious mind, and the correct formation of each letter cultivates the virtues represented by that letter. Additionally, the act of writing is an action that takes our desires from non-physical to physical because they go from thoughts to words. Then speaking forth our carefully worded declaration or decree ads another layer of manifestation that is indelibly imprinted on our inner and outer environment.

Thank you 🩵🩵🩵Valuable video for me - and yes!🙌 agreed - that journaling will change life. I’ve just completed one journal (pages are full) where on one side of the page I wrote daily about all the things I’m thankful for and on the other a “dreaming of and praying for” space. After one year of doing this (March 2023 to now), I’ve let go of 55lbs, moved into a new space that has many of the elements I was dreaming of and my focus to create something is honed to a good spot to begin a small side-hustle. Truly changed my life in one year. The power of writing. 🩵🩵🩵 REQUEST PLEASE: At minute 22:30-ish you talked about setting a “theme” for your week… can you expand on that concept in another video? I do a “word of the year” and that’s so helpful, I’m imagining what marrying it with a smaller theme idea could do for a week or even a month… 🤔

Fascinating! The Zero-energy theory in physics is that the net balance of energy in the Universe is 0. The positive and negative (complimentary opposites) cancel out to be balanced and produce a neutral result. If you apply this to human psychology then it would follow that any positive or negative bias regarding our beliefs about the benefits and drawbacks (pleasantness or unpleasantness) of any particular situation are the result of an unbalanced perspective of not seeing the advantage in the disadvantage. The past is malleable, at least from a psychological perspective and we tend to misremember about 50% of everything anyway so by exploring the benefits you received from unwanted events and situations you can become a master of your destiny and the journaling recommendations are a great way to do that. With regards to being consistent I think that understanding your hierarchy of values (Axiology) and tying these practices to them makes it easier on a more fundamental level. I'll definitely be using your Notion template. Thanks for saving me time and effort!

Love the video! Im actually in Alis year long prod program and has started to really kinda reflect more... He/they have several reflection options so everyone can join one, and I have actually found my own "system", I plan for the week, then I join the reflection meeting on Friday night... to see whats done and whats left, that gives me two days to work on the stuff left to do and then I join "the same"/second reflection session on Sundays and hopefully that will make me more productive. Love the stuff in this video, I will use stuff you talk about!

Thank you very much for creating this video. I have a very nice time journaling through the day and I believe that every day we are creating something that's interesting or everyday lives when we are able to write a little bit more about the things that are happening in the things that are possible.
