These guys have been doing this hip hop thing. Maybe at the end of each of these they could give a quick shoutout to a Metal song to listen to. I've never been big into metal but these guys have inspired me to broaden out a bit, just give a quick recommend of who to look out for and what to listen out for in a song kinda thing.

J. Cole HIMSELF stated this wasnt a diss, idk why ppl started spreading that, it was more of a "if the shoe fits, wear it" type song to all the young rappers out there.. Btw there's a pretty decent response to this music by a young rapper "YBN Cordae", its nothing on Cole level ofc but hes a good lyricist for his age, only 18 i think. I recommend you guys checking it out.

Honestly, I give Cordae much props for it. It was lyrically provoking and a much better response than most of his generation appear capable of. With some maturity and consistency, I give him head and shoulders above the flock heading into the next gen. 1985 IS NOT A LIL PUMP DISS J. Cole, in a recent interview, stated that he actually enjoys the music of soundcloud rappers like Lil Pump, Tekashi69, Smokepurpp, etc. He wrote 1985 as a way to try and give them advice. He likes these kids and wants to see them succeed. Watch the interview with (i forgot the name, something Salaam) If you don't have enough time for the whole thing, the last 30 minutes is where he talks about this.

You guys should give MF DOOM a shot soon. I suggest either All Caps, Meatgrinder or That's That. Edit: Now that there’s a chance that you might listen to DOOM, here’s a comprehensive write up about MF DOOM. MF DOOM, born in the UK, started as a rapper in the New York hip hop trio KMD with his brother Subroc, under the name Zev Love X. Then, in 1993, Subroc passed away after being hit by a car and KMD where dropped by their label, leaving DOOM jobless, brother-less and homeless. He returned to the rap game in 1999, under the name of MF DOOM, the masked villain out to seek revenge on the music industry. MF DOOM has worked under a lot of a different names so here’s a list with some recommendations that will be easy to find for anyone new to DOOM: Madvillain - Madvillainy DOOM’s historical collaboration with producer Madlib. Notable songs include Figaro, Meatgrinder, All Caps, Accordion and Rhinestone Cowboy. But every song is great, this album is a definite 10/10 MF DOOM - Mm...Food This is probably DOOM’s most celebrated solo album. He produced all the beats and rhymes about food in interesting ways. Notable tracks include Rapp Snitch Knishes, Beef Rap, One Beer and Hoe Cakes. King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader This album doesn’t feature a lot of verses from DOOM and puts his production in the spotlight. Though the DOOM verses on this album are great. Notable songs include Anti-Matter, Fazers and The Fine Print. Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain The first album under the Viktor Vaughn has some great songs and has a completely different feel compared to the rest of his discography. Notable songs include Vaudeville Villain and Let Me Watch. MF DOOM - Operation Doomsday This was the first album DOOM dropped when he returned to the rap game in the late 90’s. It quickly became a hit in the New York underground. Notable songs include Rhymes like Dimes and Doomsday. DOOM - BORN LIKE THIS The last album I will talk about is his most underrated album. BORN LIKE THIS is a complication album from the time that DOOM vanished from the scene between 2005 and 2009. It features a few beats from J Dilla and some of DOOM’s best rhymes. Notable songs include That’s That, Cellz, Gazillion Ear, Lightworks and Ballskin. That’s that for this (longer than planned) write up. I left out a few albums because it was getting a bit long. The albums left out are Venomous Villain, The Mouse and The Mask, Keys to the Kuffs and Czarface meets Metalface. I hope you all enjoy listening to DOOM, and have a nice day.

@gavin.ghidella6 жыл бұрын
Oh wow I didn’t know that! That’s awesome!
@MrOldman096 жыл бұрын
Gavin Ghidella Yeah, he was actively protesting racial injustices while at college, but after he got out of college and started working, he fell off. He got back into it when the police killed the black man for selling cigarettes. (Eric Garner) He marched in that protest. He also his team went to Ferguson when Mike Brown was killed and he cried. That is when he wrote the song “Be Free”. He has also gone to prisons to speak with Black men prisoners. He is also fighting the justice system about unjust incarceration of Black men. That is why he went to the White House and asked Obana what was he doing about enslavement of the Black man thru the prison system (High for Hours) and Neighbors. Remember, he said he spit like he live it. I love Cole so much because I see him as a younger version of me. He is male and I am female, but we have the same mind. I used to do a daily post on him on J Cole Doing Things, but became discouraged when I discovered that most of the ones reading the posts were only reading my headings, not the good meat that I was giving them. I also found out that some of them didn’t know the institutions of which I spoke. Any, I am just happy to see someone who gets Cole. Have a great one.

You both get it, but you got it. You must watch J Cole’s interview with Angie Martinez. He is explaining why the “lil” rappers act the way they do. He loves them and understands them. He was really talking to all the black ones. He also understands the white ones also. He was talking about smoke purpp and the rest of the black rappers in general. He wasn’t talking about lil pump.
