I think you were spot on with the deeper metaphor for the ending because he always used to refer to himself as Young Simba. So he's kind of portraying the death of Mufasa to an older version of himself. He has mentioned an album called, The Fall Off being his final album. Plus he's been in the game for so long, some other people might say he's falling off simply due to the normal trajectory of rap careers. He's literally playing into how he's holding on to his inner child to prevent "falling off" and keeping himself grounded to why he started this journey in the first place. This album is fire and has so much replayability. I can't wait to see what other music videos come out. Great video as always ✌🏼

This is why I love watching you, always break down the music. I’m more into video so what I got out of the visuals was that Cole wanted this video to represent his inner child. You have Cole with his friends having fun, has the “toy” helicopter that he can control, and he’s even playing dress up. All things you could do to have fun as a kid. It’s a simple music video but has meaning with what Cole had at the end of holding onto your inner child.
