j cole is living such a great life, i'm not saying that it's good to be involved in crime, getting in trouble selling drugs or just being around gang members or whatever, but i think some rappers need it to be make them who they are and J.Cole has this mentality where he doesn't act hard or try to influence violence but if the time ever came where it was needed he still has that side to him!, but it is also great that he went to university/ college too!

I don't like fake rappers like lil' wayne, soulja boy, etc. I have full respect on theire achievements and thehustle but... J. Cole is REAL... J. Cole makes real music... music that speaks to your soul... music that teaches you and guides you... music you can live to... music you can die to. I'm not a die hard fan but I'd be dead wrong and stupid if I wouldn't have listen to J. Cole's music. It's like the modern Tupac Shakur, Real life stories and struggles. REAL HIP HOP.

7:14 For the record, 3/4 time signature is 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3 because it means three(3)/4 beats per bar, for four 3/(4) bars. Each 1-2-3 represents a bar. What Cole explained at 7:14 was 4/3 time signature.

You have to be blind and/or deaf to think Drake and J. Cole make the same type of music. Where's Drake songs like Lost Ones, Rise and Shine, Song For the Ville, Get Free, and so many other songs J. Cole. J. Cole makes his own beats. He has a old school style and I love it. How does him not listening to modern rap make him a hipster? I grew up in the same era and aside from J. Cole I don't listen to modern rap either because the genre has shifted. Some of you people are straight up haters.

People like to shit on Drake but he's doing his own damn thing. He raps about things that other rappers don't and he doesn't give a fuck if people think it's feminine, he just does his thing. Cole and Drake are very alike. I got nothing but respect for that.
@Your-Fly-ness12 жыл бұрын
just because lil wayne raps about guns, money, and girls doesnt mean hes fake. Wayne has made some tracks regarding life struggles but hes a better artist talking about money and girls. Niggas gotta adapt to the new era it just happens that j cole can do that and still corporated life struggles in his raps.

lol is this a serious question? the funny thing is i dont even have to name his songs that were hits but rather other artist songs that if it wasn't for drake they wouldn't have become what they were. Just for fun though, the motto (yolo). this one song made an impact on not just hip hop but America. The fact that so far gone, a MIXTAPE got nominated for a grammy. 2 chainz No lie, Stated from the bottom, lil wayne bitches love me (with one line though). Shall i continue?
