The way I see it.. Kendrick can do a j.cole track. J.cole cannot do a Kendrick track.

This I disagree with. People always say this, and pen-wise, Kendrick is more layered so probably. But what makes a song a J Cole song and what makes a song a Kendrick song is their approach. Both of them approach tracks in totally different manners. There's a reason why people refer to Cole as that cool big brother or that cool uncle, and not Kendrick. Part of the appeal of a J Cole song is how he makes you feel and that comes simply from his personality. I feel like if Kendrick made a J Cole song, it may sound like a J Cole song, but it would just feel like a really good song at best, and a really good J Cole imitation at worst, but it won't be a J Cole song cos it won't have the same emotional impact. Ya dig?

@@MaxwellAyo Have you not listened to DAMN? Even on TPAB Kendrick has the I love myself song.

I agree but I would like to add a great meal or great painting doesn't have to be digestible at first glance. I think a great piece of work gives you something new at every listen. Though it may not be the most accessible upon first listen I think it gives a lot in the way of history, story, and retelling of a black experience in America.

It's not even close to trash. These shouldn't even be the only 2 options trash Or masterpiece stop ...j Cole's verse. Was mid he use a bunch of lyrics from previous diss Records, he shouldn't get credit for piecing togather stuff he didn't write.it looks lazy he sounded half-hearted like his Mama made him come ask for his bike back.
