Just amazing. Quick question for all my Dilla heads: was 1997 undoubtably his best year or one of his best years?

95-97 for me. But that 97 year was some different shit. Can’t tell whether he was making some of that stuff in the 1200 3000 or both. I liked his sampling in this year the most, filtering all types of shit. Drums from that year are crazy too. It’s hard to find drums that sound specifically like that.

I love his 97 beats but I would def not say its "undoubtably" his best year, it totally depends on your taste, he went through many eras/aesthetics and they're all technically insane but different.

you have several errors in this Track 11 is a pitched version by J Dillas basement Track 14 is the king of beats version not the actual version Track 15 is a remake from a guy named jayo.........not the actual version
